Sickle and hammer

Sorry if this has been discussed on here and I didn't find it, but was anyone surprised by the fact that Dylan had a "red star medallion containing a sickle and hammer" on his left boot? I was a little surprised when I read about it in his autopsy report, and was wondering why he even had it on his boot.

No, it's never been discussed on here before. I don't think it has ever been stated why he had it. At least not in anything that I've ever read, but I am not a die hard researcher either though, so maybe someone else will know. But, I am just guessing it is probably something he just liked and thought looked cool.

I read somewhere that he told some guy from his videoclass that he wore it to provoce people.

This is correct. We had a discussion on the old forum about it if I remember correctly. He wore it because it was controversial.
