Misc. Author Info: It took me about 3 days to completely finish this ass-kicking WAD. This is by far the best deathmatch level I have made, YET. yet yet yet!
Description: You are placed in a large, open arena to fight in. There are multiple staircases and lots of ammo laying around. Plenty of health too. There are 4 other sections to this level to fight in, they are; A computer lab, a darkened and lightened tunnel with crevices to hide in (hint hint), and a cave-like room with a river 'o' sludge flowing through. And don't worry about getting cornered, there are plenty of places to run and hide if you are in trouble!
Additional Credits to : Well, the creators of Edmap, you rule, dudes. The creators of BSP and ADE2, you guys saved this WAD countless times from evil, bad-ass bugs! The creators of WINTEX, for letting me put in all those rockin' graphics. The Paintbrush creators to make them. Uuuuuuhh, My good friend Dylan Klebold for helping me play-test this WAD. And, of course, the creators of DOOM2!

Misc. Author Info: What’s up all you doomers out there! REB here, bringing you another kick-ass doom2 wad! This one took a damn long time to do, so send me some bloody credit man! Sorry the file is so damn big, but you know how it is when you change sprites... well, you should know if you've ever made wads like this. Enjoy the new death frames, made them all myself!
DO NOT GO TO ANY OTHER LEVEL BESIDES THE 2 IN THIS WAD, MANY SPRITES WHERE DELETED IN THE WAD TO MAKE IT AS SMALL AS I COULD. SO SOME MAPS MAY HAVE DELETED SPRITES IN THEM AND IT WILL CRASH DOOM2. So don’t do it, man.
Description\Story: OK, here goes: After defeating the demons on Earth, you learn of a new terror. Phobos, where this hellish battle all began, has been taken over again! When you were fighting hell on Earth, the demon back-up crew decided to pay a visit to Phobos again. No problem, right? All the installations where already destroyed by you and the first attack right? Yeah, that parts right, but half the surviving humans from earth took refuge there! We just re-did the structures to fit our needs, and moved in again. Bad idea. Those gates were still active. Sooo aah, chalk up another kill for the demons. After the 2nd attack on Phobos, only 99% of the human population is left. Once you emerged from hell, you took the first ship you could to Phobos. Once again, there were no survivors. Now it’s PAYBACK TIME! Those God damned alien bastards are going to get one hell of a BFG blast up their FREAKING ASS! You land on the other side of Phobos. Where the humans landed for the 2nd time. Your mission is to destroy the 2 main gates, and destroy the platoon of demons at the main teleporter from Phobos to Earth. Use the maps, you'll need them to find all the hidden secrets and doors. Beware of the 2 gates, they ARE still active, and more demons might come through any second. The platoon guarding the teleporter out is VERY large, so beware. Good luck marine, and don’t forget, KILL 'EM AAAAALLLL!!!!!

* Note not from Eric: U.A.C. Labs, uaclabs.zip - a two level single player WAD. It has an E1-style techbase theme. It includes extra graphics that increase the gore in the monster death animations. In the second level, the player is confronted with an enormous arena filled with Demons.
The ENDOOM screen for uaclabs.wad also mentions the following:
• BRICKS • FIGHTME • OUTDOORS • REALDETH • TECHOUT • KILLER • HOCKEY • STATION – in the top 25 best DM wads on AOL • THRASHER • ASSAULT • and REALDOOM – you must email me for this patch.

whiskey.WAD – Page 026343/026856 NBK (alleged date April 28 1998) & Page 026496 Dylan's 1998 Yearbook - Eric's writings to Dylan circa April/May 1998: lower right corner of page.
Misc Author Info: I have been playing doom since November of 1994, so it is basically my life. These levels are better than anything you have ever seen before. I don't want to brag about my own shit, but these levels come from the Herrgott [God] of DOOM himself... so just play each one, and don’t miss any rooms, and you'll see why I say these are the best levels ever.
How to Play: Load up the dehacked patch and run "doom2 -file tier.wad –fast -warp 01" and if you are using DM.exe to do a deathmatch or coop game, run "dm.exe -fast". Anything else, you figure it out on your own.
Description: Tier is a 7 level patch for doom2. It has 6 new monsters, 2 new guns, 9 new gory sprites, a few new sounds, new music, and tons of new textures. The theme for these levels is totally Phobos-base post-war UAC lab type stuff. So just imagine returning to good old episode 1 of doom with a ton of new twists. I even put in an actual part of the original doom in the first level. It's very nice, and not too hard to find. Lots of the rooms and secrets in this place come directly from my imagination, so you are basically running around in my own world. I live in this place. I mean a person could write a freaking book on all of the symbolism and double meanings used in these levels. So show some respect, you bastards.
Advice from REB:
First things first, use the fucking map. You will never find all of the secrets or at least above 80% without it. Almost all of the secrets are visible on the map, and they aren't too hard to find.
Second: Each level has 4 symbols in it, locate all of them and you are Godlike.
Third: Watch the demo.
Fourth: If you are playing with fast mode on, and you should be, you can NOT save your game, if you do save it some weird ass bug fucks up the game and some tweeky stuff happens to it, so don't save when on fast.
Fifth: Remember this about the machine gunners: They have bad aim when you are more than about 5-10 feet away. So use that to your advantage. Plus watch the first demo to find out how to beat the blue key battlefield in map3.
Sixth: Do not try to use the cheat codes, except for idclev. They have all been changed besides that one, so if you try to type one in, the game will bomb you out. If you are having a hard time beating a level, then play it without fast mode on, so then you can save your game and it'll be easier. I want you people to see everything in every level, not get your asses kicked every other room.
Story: Once the demon was destroyed on Earth the war seemed over for you. However, the retaking of Earth had just begun. Helping out here and there with teams of marines to take over our lost cities, you grew tired of the same old battles. When you heard reports that Phobos was becoming an active base for demons again, you made a final decision. You will return to Phobos and finish the job. You will destroy every damn monster on the whole frigging rock and take over every base that you missed during the first siege. What do you have to live for anyway? Every friend you had was wasted on Phobos and your family was killed on Earth, so why the hell not? 7 installations were skipped during your first battle. You knew that a few teams made it over to those bases, but all of them were killed off before you even made it through the hanger. So you pack up a few things and head on back to Phobos. The 9 bases that were already passed through are basically in the same condition you left them in, which was only a few weeks ago. The new bases that you are going to have been "worked on" a little by the aliens. So expect some unusual architecture and probably some ambushes. They know you're coming. One other thing, keep an eye out for new weaponry. There are 2 UAC weapons that you saw training videos on months ago, but never found in the bases. One is an earlier version of the BFG9000 and the other is a modified plasma rifle. Both, as you remember, are very good at getting rid of enemies real damn quick.

Thanks for posting loads of info and extracts from Eric's sites - it's such an interesting read, for instance, his game descriptions, advice, and snarky little comments. I really appreciate your posts!

it is a shame TIER has been lost it seems to be his best work from the description (he also calls it that himself). It looks like that is after he had gotten deeper into coding for Doom and learnt a lot since UAC Labs, he even talks about using DeHacked and creating new monsters, rather than just sprite swapping existing ones.
He had also included demos that appear on the game's starting screen, where you can pretty much watch a replay of Harris playing the levels himself, which would have been interesting to see. He also credited Dylan and some other friends who probably helped making the maps for it, so you would be seeing one created by Dylan.
I know there is no hope of this wad ever surfacing though, it was on Eric's computer that jeffco took, and it was either claimed by his family who have sold/trashed/wiped it by now (it is an old 1996 computer after all) or it was destroyed by Jeffco for having no further use of it. And if it was just laying around in an evidence locker, the hardrive probably rotted away by now.

I was browsing the police report, and at the very beginning there is a bundle of Doom-related data. There are maps drawn out on graph paper, as well as hard drive directories of textures and map assets. It also looks like there are numerical indicators where the individual textures/game assets should go on the map.
I don't know if any of these are for the missing "Tier" map, but would it be possible to recreate the missing map if you had that information? I'm not really a modder and I don't know much about Doom as a whole, but I thought the info might be relevant.

well, based on the credits i think at least the persons mentioned there should have had the tier wads. afaik the only person still alive today is nate dykeman, so if there is someone who could still have it, maybe it's him. but because eric was so proud of his wads, i think he spread them to more people back in the days. it's a pitty that some are still out of sight

Tier will always be one of the most intriguing pieces of lost media to me, just because it meant so much to Eric. I wonder if it truly is completely gone forever.
