Columbine H. S. Massacre Movie

Ive been thinking what the movie would be like .

Like for example :

1st scene - E and D realize the bombs didnt went off and they made signals with their hands ( see D. Cullen book for this detail ) to tell each other its time for " plan b " and go to the top of stairs in front of the main entrance . They pull out their guns and say " go go go " . Then it fades to the arrival of harrises in littleton .

Anyone have more ideas for the script ?

-The screen is black, all you can hear are chirping birds
-The screen opens to a close up shot of a watch on Eric's arm, 11:16:30, thirty second to the bang
-Cuts to short scenes of their eyes and mouths, eyes wide open, mouths breathing heavy
-Eric looks and his arm again, turns and nods to Dylan
-Eric swings out his rifle and kneels behind his car
-Dylan gasps and ducks behind his car
-They both stay like that for a few seconds
-Dylan peaks over his car briefly and then ducks back
-Eric isn't moving or breathing
-Dylan lets out a sigh and gets up
-Eric sees him coming over and signals him to stop and get back into position
-He rests his gun onto his car plants his face onto the trunk "come on, come on"
-He raises his head to look at the school again, but doesn't pick up his rifle
-Dylan is watching nervously, first at Eric than the school, taking his hat off to wipe off some sweat.
-Eric picks his gun up, signals Dylan to stay where he is, and starts coming over
-"The hell dude?" Dylan whispers
-"Whatever", Eric says while passing "Follow me".
-Dylan keeps pestering him with questions and Eric just keeps quiet
-They make it to the top of the stairs and look around
-The camera is focused on them and as Dylan starts searching his bag for a pipe bomb the camera does a 360 to show the surrounding area, and gets right back to them in time to see Dylan taking the bomb out.
-"Give it here"
-"What?"
-"Give it here"
-Dylan hand Eric the bomb and Eric lights it and throws it
-It fizzles a little but does nothing
-Eric's face shows shock, but soon turns to emotionless determination
-He grabs his rifle underneath his coar and loads it, the sound of the chaber echoes
-GO GO
-Cuts to black

How about a movie documenting Eric/Dylan's lives up until 4/20?

Like moving, going through school, friends, experiences.

Working at Blackjack and their experiences there with their friends/coworkers influencing them.

The run ins they had while at Columbine like the suspension, locker incident, etc.

The January 30 1998 incident about the van break in. Diversion etc

Purchasing guns, going to gun shows, and more....

It would be a lot to fit into an hour and a half or 2 hour movie but it would be interesting to see how they actually came to be on 4/20/99.

The movie to be good it would need like 3 or 4 hrs .

A Mini Series would be awesome!

A 3 or 4 hour movie? that certainly would be a long one.

A mini-series is a good idea too.

To tell the story right it would need at least 3 hrs . Mini series is also a good idea .

A five part mini series:
Part 1- Their childhoods up until the pint they met eachother
Part 2- Their life in Columbine untill the Jan. incident
Part 3- They begin planing
Part 4- April 20th
Part 5-Their families in the aftermath
Every part would be 90 minutes long.

The aftermath doesnt matter . Save the time to tell other details .

This story is full of juicy details . Thats why im saying that it would be needed a lot of film time to tell the all story .

What about the basement tapes ? Only that is at least 50 min film time .

I would want to play Eric. I'm blonde and blue eyed though, I don't think that would work lol.

I think the reason they didnt make a movie yet is because they would fear that would glorify what they did and would create copycats .

The same reason that why they destroyed the basement tapes .

Get some contacts and hair dye, problem solved. I think I could pass as an Eric although I'm 5'11''.

Eric and Dylan preparing, Stray Bullet by KMFDM playing over top.

Hollywood is weird... There are tons of movies with graphic murder/sexual scenes but for some reason there is this stigma with kids killing other kids especially if it's based on true events.

Let's talk about Kevin and the Good Son are both good movies but get little to no attention and it seems like people rather ignore they even exist.

I personally love movies that push the envelope but I feel like a Columbine movie even with a big name director/producer/actors wouldn't go over well unfortunately

Maybe an independent director / producer would make it good .
