1996 Yearbook signed by Eric Harris (photos).

Hi guys! After a couple of postal issues and much anxiety, I finally received the yearbook I bought from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]! This is the complete 1996 Columbine yearbook, featuring an inscription from Eric Harris himself. As most of you know, Jennifer was friends with Eric between the 7th grade and the 10th grade. If you want to know more, there are several threads created by Jennifer in which she answers some questions forum members had. So yeah, I thought I'd share some photos of the book for anyone who's interested or hasn't seen Eric's message yet. I've included some yearbook photos of Eric and Dylan, as well as Kevin Harris (including one I hadn't yet seen), and a bonus inscription from Alyssa Sechler, a friend and reported crush of Eric's(?). I hope the pics are okay. I'm so excited to share them with you! Here you go...

Hope these photos are good to be going on with. I plan on scanning the yearbook as there doesn't seem to be a complete digital version anywhere, but it may take me a while. I've got to say, I was shocked at how big the book is!

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] No problem! I'm guessing Michelle was a mutual friend (or definitely a friend of Jennifer's) as I noticed an inscription from a 'Michelle' in the book, as well as another inscription that mentioned her name.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Fortunately, (as you can see around Eric's freshman photo) Jennifer highlighted the names and photos of her friends in the yearbook, and I can only see one Michelle highlighted, so I'm guessing that must be the girl in question. Her name isn't on the list you posted, so perhaps she left the school before 1999.

Michelle was in the choir room on 4/20/99 and escaped with another girl through the Main Entrance.


Page 005120:

I asked Linda [van Damme] to describe where she was seated inside the choir room. She told me that she was sitting in the soprano section and the risers they were seated on were on the south side of the choir room, closest to the exit. Linda was asked who was seated next to her. She told me on her left side was Alicia Juarez and on her right side was Michelle Romero.


Page 003154-003155:

Rebecca Goodwin left the cafeteria by running up the stairs, east down the south main hall, and into the auditorium from a door on the southeast side. There was a teacher in the auditorium who was telling the students to hide in the back of the auditorium. Goodwin estimates that there were 30 students in the upper end of the auditorium. Goodwin saw Stefania Ubowski and Samantha Haviland hiding in the auditorium as well. Goodwin was in the auditorium only a few minutes, when Michelle Romero grabbed her hand and they ran out the northeast door of the auditorium into the north main hall. There were a lot of students in the hall. Goodwin and Romero ran east down the north main hall toward the main entrance to the school. When they were 10-15 feet from the inner door of the main entrance, one of the windows on the left side of the door shattered. Goodwin does not know what made the window shatter. Goodwin and Romero continued out the main entrance, through the teachers' parking lot, and to Clement Park. Goodwin recalls that Mr. Peterson was in the teachers' parking lot directing the students to Clement Park.

However, Jennifer didn't get out of the school as quickly/early as Michelle did.

I always thought Eric looked really handsome in that photo.

The digital copy of the 1999 Yearbook (320 pages) was uploaded as individual scanned jpegs of each page.

That may be the easiest way for you as well.

For some reason it's going around that the photos of Eric and Dylan in this book are from their sophomore year, but no, these are their freshman yearbook pictures. They're in the 9th grade, finishing their first year at Columbine (1995-1996). Just wanted to clear that up!

This is before he became his alter ego "Reb". You can see that in his junior year, he no longer signs his name, Eric Harris. It seems that by then, to him, Eric was gone and he was Reb now. Its interesting seeing this, I feel like he became Reb, in 1997.
