Eric and Dylan's Day Planners

I was looking through the evidence in the 11k and never noticed the two entries below in Eric and Dylan's day planners. They both recorded their agreed upon signals depending on how things went that morning. I wonder if they ended up using the "suicide" signal...

I also noticed in Dylan's planner from the year prior, he crossed out March 25th, 1999 and wrote "Freedom" below with an arrow pointing to the day. I know that's too early for graduation, does anyone have an idea of the significance of that day?

Perhaps the 25 was at one time their chosen day? I am not sure if anyone knows it would prob be [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].

Other than that I don't know about Dylan but I think the hand signals were all Eric. Witnesses reported seeing Eric running around barking orders at Dylan to cover him or watch his back so I do think he may have used some of the signals. We will never know for sure if they did the hand signal for suicide, but personally I don't think they did

I also noticed when Eric wrote his Shit Left To Do list, he added "get laid" and it looks like a "V" and an "R". I just can't picture them checking in with each other on the status of that item...it's almost funny to me.

I think it is interesting that they planned to get laid on 22nd, and then Dylan had freedom written on 25th and then Erics wants to join the marine corps 2nd of April and on 3rd his journal entry is about "not getting any" and not being invited to stuff.

Tim Krabbe mentions this particular line ("you people had my phone # and I asked and all") and according to him this refers specifically to some event that Robyn Anderson and her friends had, but Eric was not invited.

Maybe Dylan was invited but Eric was not and that was the time they were both supposed to get laid?

If this theory is correct and the attack originally was meant to be on March 25th, that means the tape where they talk about how the cops will portray them differently and also say "we are but we arent psycho" would have been the last tape they left behind.

Does that seem possible?

The only weird thing is that 22nd was a Monday. Who gets laid for the first time on a monday?

Could the "Freedom" have been referring to the end of the diversion program? I didn't think about when I posted this back in June.

Yeah Im looking at the transcript for 18th March Tape and they say there is “only two weeks left & one more weekend” & that “it is coming up fucking quick". That implies that they rather planned on doing it at the beginning of April.

I do believe however that it must have been hard on Eric to have Dylan be invited to a party and not him and then also not get a date for prom. I would looove to know what date Robyn had her party

I never knew that.

Surprised Eric wasn't invited! That was his core group, not a random acquaintance, someone he did a project with.. it was Robyn and Dylan.

Both Eric and Dylan's have been released. I think Dylan's 1997-98 school year is available and Eric's 1997-98 and 1998-99 were also released.

I could be wrong, that's just from my memory

I've seen 2 lists in planners for 4/20.

I thought one was from Dylan's and one was from Eric's

One ended with Have Fun! When the bombs go off

I know Dylan wrote in Eric's day planner for 4/20/99 but I can't say for sure that copies of his planner from 1999 aren't out there. I just need to search the 11k to refresh my memory!

I believe these are all from Eric's planner. I followed them in order and saw "18" written in the space for Eric's 18th birthday so that kind of reassured me. They may have been writing to each other in the book, you can see it looks like Dylan asked Eric a question (or vice versa?). Maybe they were in class together and couldn't talk?

Does anyone have a link to Krabbes writing of this? I googled it and found something from Cullen saying Robyn had a party with Eric there and he spilled napalm.

Eric crosses off the month of May in his planner. There's the mini calendar with all the months 98/99 and he crosses off May

I saw that nicotine poisoning thing before but I can't even imagine who it would be for. I honestly don't think it was for themselves though.

I read somewhere they thought it might be a Halloween costume idea.

The nicotine poison reminds me of Anders Breivik. He wrote in his manifesto about wanting to inject nicotine into his bullets to poison his victims and even claimed to have ordered pure nicotine from China. I don't think that he actually did it, though I could be wrong.

It makes me wonder if they were originally planning to put nicotine in their pipe bombs, propane bombs or possibly their shotgun shells in an attempt to increase the lethality of their weapons.

I definitely agree that it had to be a plan for one of their vandalism missions. He also wrote that he was going to bring a "box of milk bones" which makes me think that they were planning to vandalize the house of someone who owned a dog (even though this sounds a lot like a cartoon criminal's plan). I have no idea why he wanted to make sure that he was dressed neatly for something like that but he also has a note about wrapping the items in a blanket to reduce the amount of noise which suggests that they were trying to avoid detection, another indication that they were probably planning for a crime/prank.

On second thought, maybe the concern for the shirt was also related to the dog! He didn't want to attract the dog's attention any more than necessary by smelling like his cat?

I have seen someone named Mr Butts in both their day planners, who is that?

Also april-june 98 Eric is has something planned 8 times, almost all times 2:00 but it is blacked out.
And then in october he writes 2nd bunker. (as in the one mentioned in the basement tapes?)

I really want to know what is blacked out there and also what happened during that summer since that is when these secret events stopped being scheduled (but maybe continued throughout the summer?) but also this is the time Zach states Eric starts to dislike him for no apparent reason.

I was JUST thinking about that 2:00 appt the other day. Weird. I thought it was Dr. Albert but some places where he is mentioned are not redacted, so I wasn't sure.

Mr. Butts was the counselor or a teacher I believe. I think they had to see him when they got in trouble for the locker thing. I think Dylan had to pay for a locker door to be replaced?

I would love to see some different theories around this page taken from Eric's day planner.

Specifically, since it looks like there is a list he is crossing off, what was "Adios" for? The album didn't come out until 4/20/99, so was "Adios" about saying goodbye to someone or something in a way?

He wrote "Will". Did he write up a will and we have never seen it? Did they count the final basement tape as their will (besides Dylan's strange journal entry)?

They sometimes seemed to concerned with looking "bad ass" then their actual stuff working, which is VERY good. The bombs not going off saved many lives.

I do wonder if they found a will of sorts and never released it.

I assume Adios was just him maybe labeling his do to list, his final goodbye.

If memory serves, it was Devon or Nate who said he didn't want to flash around to everyone that he had a BMW. He may not have wanted to call attention to it too because of being picked on, someone may have messed with his car more.

Maybe I'm being too harsh on Dylan for the whole "rich" thing. He didn't really flaunt that stuff like I'm sure other kids at CHS did (they sure did at mine)

Its hard to say what made him take them off. It very well could have been that he didn't want anyone to think he was proud of the fact he had a BMW.

I think when he says he hates "rich" kids it's more than just about their family's money. He probably hated kids who flaunted wealth, acted stuck up, and treated others without money as inferior to them. So while his family was definitely well off, they weren't rubbing it in anyone's face. Just my two cents
