Someone give me a quick rundown on Columbine

I need a quick comprehensive rundown on the shooting, I know nothing about it and I only made an account on this site because I saw some screenshots of Adam Lanza posting here ages ago and I thought his posts were hilarious, don't even know what state Columbine happened in (serious)
Wasn't that Eric guy a legit psychopath and the long haired dude was just on drugs or something? What caused these young men to do such a disturbing thing?
Also why are people obsessed over this shooting? From what I've seen the Columbine "fanbase" (lmao) is pretty pathetic (no offence), they literally worship school shooters, I even saw edgy girl that got expelled for doing some dumb gun pose at Columbine high

You have a lot of misinformation right here but we can clear it up.

We do have some people who are survivors of 4/20 here and if we condoned it you better believe we would hear about it.

The shootings have been a topic of interest for many years, since day one. It happened in 1999.. there is a LOT you can do to research yourself too.

However, Eric may or may not have been a pyscho (like what I did there?) Dylan, the long haired one, wasn't on any drugs. He was severely depressed with anger issues, he kept everything bottled in.

There was a plethora of reasons why they did what they did and the ramifications have been very tragic but also very interesting.

A lot of us were kids when it happened and something about it resonated with us.

There are a lot of different reasons why people relate and sympathize with Eric and Dylan. I have actually met people associated with the case too so that gives me a better understanding and a more open heart.

I'll let someone who can give you a synopsis answer this better. There is 11,000 pages of evidence, about 10 books, countless videos and interviews, conspiracy theories, supposed cover ups and the whereabouts of the damn basement tapes that we would have to get into.

If you don't have a sense of humor, how did you find Lanza's post "hilarious"? And Lanza never made any posts on this forum. In fact, he was already dead when I made this forum in 2013. He made posts on an old Columbine forum that doesn't exist anymore. Randy Stair is the shooter who posted here.

Columbine High School is located in Columbine, Colorado which is right outside of Denver. It's right on the edge of a town called, Littleton, which is where both shooters lived.

It would be impossible to diagnosis either one of them as psychopaths because they are both dead now and you cannot diagnosis a dead person with a mental illness and since neither were diagnosed prior to death then it really is a matter of opinion, not fact, on whether they were psychopaths. Personally, I do not think that either were psychopaths and you can read through tons of threads on the forum where I have said why I think they aren't. And you'll also read some comments from people who think they were.

And no, they weren't on drugs. Neither one of them took illegal drugs at the time of the shooting. Eric was on an antidepressant called Luvox. Prior to that he was on Zoloft. Dylan's friends claim that Dylan was self medicating with St John's Wort. However, it was not in his blood/urine at the time of autopsy, so if he was taking it, it was well before the shooting.

Why did they do it? Well they're both dead now so we can't really ask them but if I had to guess, I'd say a shitty society along with mental illness played a big part in it.

So I'm going to respond simply with a somewhat childish "Yeah what they said!"

To give the Devil his due, Cullen isn't a bad writer. His book was decent. BUT I can say that I disliked certain aspects, and untruths in his book. I do agree with you, Dave did gloss over the bullying that had went on at Columbine.

I read that Anne Marie H (I am not sure the proper spelling) said Cullen's book was inaccurate and sensationalized.

Has Yumeko-Chan commented on the book?

Bullying was absolutely a factor among other things. Just because Dylan had friends and Eric had a nice smile doesn't mean they weren't bullied. It is something that contributes to someones anger and humiliation.

They could talk mad trash over voicechat and let all their anger out there, they might have been getting bullied in real life but on cs they would have been the biggest chads.

Doom didn't convince them to do it, it was just a game and Eric played it more than Dylan.

My goal would be to put together a set of questions that you can't put into google and get an answer. Not sure how well I will do tbh but that would be my goal.

It would be things that only a researcher would know. And not silly things either...but honest questions.

Watched a video about columbine and read through Eric's "list of things I hate", he seemed low IQ tbh (easily angered, edgy asf)
Wouldn't be surprised if Dylan was high IQ since he was an Ashkenazi Jew tbh

My thoughts exactly. Trolling. I find it really hard to believe that a person with an IQ of 185 doesn't know where the Columbine Massacre took place. Their profile and pretty much all of their posts were sarcastic and come off as trolling. Clearly he came here to make fun of fans and thought that this was a fan site. I don't think he expected to get actual answers to his questions.

The quiz isn't a bad idea though. There are plenty of people here who would be interested in taking it and reading responses.

If you did more research you would know that both Eric and Dylan were clever and both went on program for advanced kids when they were in elementary.

Being in gifted programs means shit all, especially in America (no offence)
All it means is you're a bullied outcast freak who actually did schoolwork TBH (Was in those things even though I'm low to average IQ Because I was Spastic and couldn't Talk To normies)
Eric was 100 IQ at MOST, Dylan on the other hand seems like he could be up to 130 IQ TBH (Maybe even higher)

I am hoping to shoot for tomorrow. I am still working on it although it is an actual work day for me so ...slow going lol
