One victim died and four others were wounded in the attack, carried out near the Palais Garnier opera house in the Second Arrondissement, according to Parisian police. Two of the wounded individuals are in critical condition, said police, who confirmed that the suspect was killed around 9 p.m. The assailant told police "Kill me or I'll kill you," according to police sources "Five people attacked in the 2nd arrondissement of Paris by an individual armed with a knife: one victim is dead, two are seriously injured and two are lightly injured. The assailant is deceased," Parisian police tweeted. "I just saw the man knifing random people," wrote Twitter user Esohe Denise Odaro. Diners at restaurants along rue Saint-Augustin panicked and took cover. Interior minister Gerard Collomb tweeted about the attack Saturday. "Attack in Paris: i salute the cold blood and responsiveness of the police forces who neutralized the assailant. My first thoughts are with the victims of this abhorrent act." |

| Damn France sure has taken some hits in the resent years. Too bad they have been stripped of their natural rights like the rest of Europe; so they can´t defend themselves i.e. the 2nd amendment. | |

| I don't see why these French attackers don't just use legal guns, French gun laws actually seem fairly relaxed considering it's in Europe. Then again, I don't exactly know a lot about French gun laws. | |

Some of them do, but I imagine most don't simply because they're poor. Also remember that any Arab-looking people would arouse suspicions when trying to get legal guns. |

You can pack heat there. Semis with 10 rounds are way to get and pistols with less than 20 rounds too. My uncle lives there and owns an ar 15 with a 31 round mag. Just a bit harder to get those but you could get a pretty good gun easily. |
