Virginia Tech must have been really awful because their were so many deaths. Sandy Hook too, especially since I guess Obama had more information about it that what could be seen in the media, maybe he even saw pictures. The first time a president has to do a statement after a shooting is probably very stressful, it must be hard not to look too sad, panicked or worried but still sad enough so that people think you're sympathetic. Then it becomes a habit.

I think so. There were a couple before Columbine that I think were under Clinton. Bush had the shootings plus 9/11

I think now a lot of people don’t want to see any tears etc.. they want action

Well they want action but not action that takes rights away from the innocent masses for the actions of a villainous few.

Far too many people want exactly that kind of action.

And I hate to break it to these people but no matter what action they take there's always going to be people looking to commit mass murder. It's just a fact.
