Basement tapes on 4chan

Does anything the basement tapes were really on 4chan at one point in 07
I heard some guy posted a tor link.. I would think they would have surfaced by now!
It really bugs me that they were out there at one point ugh, I wish I could go back in time to see the tapes

I think CVA or some other crime YouTuber talked about it or something similar. I'm pretty sure it turned out the "basement tapes" were actually just a series of VHS tapes that were already public domain (Cafeteria footage, Fire dept. footage, Radioactive Clothing, Rampart Range etc.)

What you're talking about is a Reddit user who posted what you described in 2016 (could be wrong about the date) and CVA made a video about it and finding out it wasn't the basement tapes. This is about 4chan and from 2007.

Your post reminds me of when Daisy's Destruction resurfaced (I won't discuss what DD is about 'cuz it's very grisly, just look up Peter Scully for info about it. Don't look up if you get nauseated at child abuse and child pornography) months or maybe a year ago and it was gone and hasn't resurfaced since.
I never heard of this, I presume it's gone forever, but who knows, someone might post TBT again on 4chan (if it was a legit link and actually contained TBT). Sometimes I wished I was born in the late 80s or early 90s and grew up as a teen in the 2000s and discovered and researched TC because if I did and the link to TBT was legit, would've attempted to archive that shit and post it onto the internet...somehow.

It's ok.

I don't think it was really posted, because if it was I think some people would have downloaded and maybe sell it for a high price before it gets uploaded on the Internet by now.

If I remember correctly that was debunked.

Also if it had been posted as Neah said, someone somewhere would have downloaded and shared it by now.

I don't know how it was for the suicide pictures but maybe if the basement tapes had been leaked the police would have made a proper release to avoid any form of trade around them. I don't know if it is something that would be done or not.

If you go on YT to research information about it, the video won't be on there, just discussion about it. There's some that go into explicit detail about what others have said the video contained. For a short summary, I'd recommend checking out ScareTheater's videos about the videos, TakeMeDown did an interesting video about it (I think saying) one of his friends watched it and got "fucked up" from it, I mean like sent to an institution or some shit.

I also appreciate that you understand all of this, and while yes, you initially brought the subject up, you didn't get into depth by any means.

However, regardless of that, some people can just start carrying on and posting links (NOT of the disgusting video itself, but of youtube analysis videos, blog write-ups, etc.), and then it just goes flying off the handle into utter insanity, so it has to be stopped now.
