I GOT YOU!
"A 16-year-old Florida boy has been arrested after threatening to shoot up a middle school, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office said Thursday morning.
Deputies said they received “a full confession” from the teen and recovered firearms he posed with in a Snapchat image that circulated via text messages and social media.
Some parents of Citrus Springs Middle School students in north central Florida brought their children home this morning after learning of the threat. The school also added extra security.
The image showed a male holding a long gun and was captioned "Don't go to school tomorrow. CSMS be careful. SPREAD THE WORD”
The accused teen attends Lecanto High School, about 13 miles from the middle school authorities say he threatened.
“At this time we do not feel there is any threat to any of our students, teachers and staff at any of our schools,” the sheriff’s office said. “As we have stated before, school resource deputies are staged at every public school in the county each and every day. This investigation is ongoing.”
A few parents had complained they weren’t notified of the threat by authorities and learned about it only through their kids.
"My daughter is in this school and she told me about it this morning, was glad to see all the police presence at the school but why was there no phone call made to us?" Gina Verdon wrote on Facebook. "Just seen it on tv but still no call has been made to us? We shouldn't have to wonder what’s going on!!"
A screen shot that matches the sheriff's description of the threat was apparently circulated in a group text message from "Coach Tim" and was later posted to Facebook.
Citrus Springs Middle School is about 25 miles southwest of Ocala near the state's Gulf Coast."
