Guy playing Eric's Doom's levels

He seems oblivious to who Eric is, very surreal to watch...

He seems to have no idea who Eric is, he also really likes the levels. Both of these things intrigue me but it's unsettling at the same time.

It's possible that he does know who Eric is and he's just being sarcastic. Can never be too sure though. And I agree, it was surreal to watch.

But yeah, it is strange that he said he tried to contact Eric...

I think like the people of the video comments. It seems that the guy is joking or being sarcastic and he actually knows who is Eric Harris.

And yes, watch this was.very surreal. I think that Eric would be good creating video games if he wouldn't do a rampage.

I really wish people would get past the violent aspect of the game. There are a ton of games and were back then involving gore and violence. The main thing I (and a lot of friends) enjoyed was that there were the possibility to create your own world (levels etc) inside of the game. That was the big pull.

Not only can you play with friends, you can essentially make your own world inside of the doom universe to really unlock something that people cannot take part in, unless you invite them to.

Judging from the guys way to comment he really knows about Eric.
On the biggest collection of DooM Wads, the doomworld /idgames archive, these files are not for download. So you have to get it from sites clearly stating who Eric is, maybe even packed with a readme file explaining.

But you know what? I really like it. He plays the thing without going to say "Look at the extra sound effects and gore". He just mentions it. I guess he want to pull all the bias and negativity and just play that WAD without judging the creator's deeds.

I have the levels myself, and they are actually very well made levels. If you just look past the mass shooting part, Eric was a very talented level designer. Shame that he didn't continue his life further and get in to the video game business, because he'd probably be very successful by now.

UA also did a playthrough. He's very much a comedian, though, and is obviously very insensitive at times (though not towards the victims), but ya know.
