wouldn't surprise me if he spent some time researching it. he could probably relate to Eric and Dylan's lack of success with the opposite sex.

Tbh Elliot probably could've gotten girls if he didn't have such high standards (he literally only wanted super attractive blond chicks), like he wasn't even that ugly and was wealthy so he definitely could've attracted some girls if he lowered his standards and also wasn't such a loon (extremely histrionic and narcissistic)

Yeah although regardless of those (which a lot of people have) he was definitely a picky and selfish asshole, even in his manifesto which he wrote himself he still manages to sound like a douche imo, I don't think being spoiled helped him either as well

Why does their have to be "standards"? I agree that most super attractive blondes are picky, but some might not be.

It's kind of sad honestly. Elliot was the dark and mysterious type, so he had no chance with vapid blonde cheerleaders, but there are plenty of girls who like that type of guy. He just wasn't looking in the right places.
