Sol Pais' Website

I saw the link posted in the thread about Sol Pais being a member of this forum, but perhaps a more in depth look at her website is in due course no?

Upon one clicking the link to her website (which is surprisingly still up)
This is what they are greeted with.
It should be also noted this has an ominous message about her suicide directly under the page link disguised as a red grim reaper
The red grim reaper leads to a page called The Rebel, with redgrimreaper.html as its source file,

This is the bottom section of the website notably a message in purple saying "keep an eye out for secret pages" which is the H4 coding linked in the main page's HTML code.
Under this is an active map of people that have visited her website, and the ones with the ping circle are those that are viewing the website currently, the red dots being those who have viewed the website atleast once.

Under this are a few old styled graphics, notably "Internet Explorer IS EVIL" in a box with a circling pentagram and "Go 2 Hell NOW" with a rifle bullet engraved with "Email me" [Email directs to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]] 

Under these are a few dare I say edgy graphics, perhaps inspired by Harris' website designs.
the 224034 is very similar to some of the graphics that were saved from Harris' website by acolumbinesite's owner.
 Also under this is 1999- The nobodies, clearly a reference to Columbine, and another reference to what I presume is the Marilyn Manson song.
The "I found my soulmate" bar actually leads to another page being this;

How long do you think it will be before this gets pulled from the internet?

It will probably take longer to get pulled from the internet than the websites of say, George Sodini, Joe Stack, or Dylann Roof just because she didn't kill anyone else.

Wonder what the artist was thinking, or if they even knew what they resembled at all.

Those aren't her tattoos. Those pictures have been floating around for years. They were shared here in the tattoo thread a few years ago.

I've seen a few of her websites posted here, but I've only been able to see three of her pictures. Does anyone have any more?

Also, I think there's a lot of importance here. This jumps out as the kind of thing we need to be looking out for. To me, this looks like the archetype of an outlet for the kind of suffering that leads to things like Columbine happening. Some of these people had a few red flags, like Randy Stair and Adam Lanza, but passed as somewhat normal with ease. Sol, on the other hand, kind of screamed that she had something going on through her websites. It saddens me that this went unnoticed long enough for her to be successful in ending her life.

EDIT: Found another photo on her soundcloud. Really sad stuff.

Also, one of the photos released of her looked like a mugshot. Anyone know anything about this?

does anybody else find strange that she didn't leave any personal video? Considering how infatuated she was with E&D's mannerisms, I would have expected something in the style of their short clips or commercials to be discovered

Yeah, I think it's pretty weird. I think there was a lot more going on with her than we know. On the one hand I could see her being kind of bashful and not liking the way she looked; after all, the videos we have of her all shot her looking away from the camera and "hiding". On the other hand we do have selfies of her and other photos where she seems comfortable, which could mean she was feigning being bashful.

When it comes down to it I think she wanted to leave the same mystery around her death as D&E did (although they did it unintentionally). We pour over the 50 or so photos we have of them because that's all we have; if they had 10 years of post 2005 social media use we'e have thousands of pictures and it wouldn't be such a big deal. I have a strong feeling she was just trying to leave some sort of mystery. I'm going way out on a limb here, but I'd imagine she was infatuated with the idea of people missing her when she's gone.

I've noticed that the welcome page kept going on changing in the past couple of months. Why do people feel the need to do this?

One of those changes include a link to someone's Instagram, which promises emotional support, but only have one post with a low-res jpeg of an suicide hotline number.

I spoke with a classmate of her, and other online friends of her on instagram, one of them told me that Sol didn't want to be remembered in any way if she would have died (clearly she had already planned everything), another classmate told me that even for the school it has been difficult to contact her parents (the father is Gardi Pais, a musician in Miami) and they never responded to anyone they didn't even went to the school to take Sol's diploma this classmate also told me that one day in the week she disappeared and died, she saw Sol deleting some of her accounts. Another friend of Sol on instagram told me that Sol used to be very close with her dad, but not so much with her mother, who often screamed to her, even without any reason...a girl on Twitter very often writes about Sol and continues to find new pics of her, this girl's twitter is @skamdc. I also found a list of all of her Social Networks that are still online (maybe because they were old?) here it is:

I think about her website/legacy a lot and I believe someone knew of her pending suicide. Her website was updated shortly after her passing, which I think everyone who studies the case knows about. What I don't understand is the supposed "hacker" left a lot of things as it was when they could have memed it out or destroyed her legacy for shits and giggles. The website wasn't even modified completely at once, but updated somewhat consistently after her death. I found a couple of changes in May that weren't major, but I honestly don't trust anything about this website unless I'm looking at the upload back in March of 2019, which I believe Sol did on her own.

The hacker in question had made a lot of changes when you compare the archived webpage and the current site that's still up and running. They had modified the opening webpage, replaced the "disclaimer" with the year 1119 A.D. and the skull with some sort of illusory gif, removed the introduction ("welcome") header, replaced the poem below the journal link with a lyric, added the "secret pages" warning, and added the visitor map. They also added the famous final entry, modified many of the other entries and completely created new ones in the oldest records. The music page was untouched except for the NIN secret page being added. The links were also untouched, but the Marilyn Manson archive was added.

I can't find anything highly relevant or relatable to the year 1119 and Sol Pais. The battle of the Field of Blood occurred, which impacted the Latin's military prowess and notoriety in a devastating manner, and I could admit the name used to refer to the battle is pretty badass too. She is ethnically white but her surname is of Latin origin which is all I can connect to the event.

Of course, the biggest "change" I have found was her journal being added with the links. I also find the last entries missing somewhat annoying, but there's nothing you can really do about it.

A very minor detail that bothers me the most were the complete title modifications on her "about me" pages. In the original site, prior to being hacked, the title for both were simply "about me". Now, on the initial page, it says "the webmaster" and when you click on the image the title is "unter Tage". I'm not fluent in German but I looked into translation of this phrase and it literally translates to "under day".

I interpreted this as either the general daytime or below the ground, both are very plausible when looking at different aspects of her case and suicide. She killed herself in the daytime and is obviously below the ground. A kindergartener could figure it out, really.

I know for a fact that Sol asked the site to be "hacked" and for it to be modified by someone. I can also infer that this someone must have been an online connection, perhaps from south Germany (as the phrase originated in the region).

I plan on continuing looking into her social media presence and the website more, probably will end up publishing an "official" analysis as well. I may have missed something small or insignificant and will end up adding on to it. There are many questions I personally have still and need to investigate further before I make any official conclusions and interpretations about the hints left behind on her page.
