Ultimately, it came down to money. The fact that the school wasn’t demolished in ‘99 speaks volumes. Jeffco residents don’t want higher taxes, so they’ll have to make do with the existing building.

I didn't really think the community would let the school be torn down. Wonder what the responses to that survey looked like?

Sandy Hook was torn down, so it doesn't make sense.

Honestly, I had to deal with my parents' discussions about whether the taxes were worth it, and in the end, my dad voted no. I don't really have an opinion on it, though. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] -just in case
