Columbine evidence you'd like, excluding BT.

Just a fun thought, if you were given the chance to have for yourself one and only one piece of Columbine-related evidence or material, what would it be and why? And you can't say the basements tapes unless you name which particular one you would prefer to have. I think I remember someone here writing about wanting Eric's wooden "berserk" (was it thedragonrampart?) badly, and I wonder if Jenn would want one of the Blue Rhino propane tanks?!

Dylan's journal. I'd like to be able to physically leaf through it, and read it in his hand without having to squint at a computer screen.

Yeah, that was me with the berserk. It's one of the pieces of evidence I'd love to get my hands on, but it is not the most vital thing because the item would take me absolutely nowhere in the case itself. The part of the evidence I want to see most of all are the files from Eric's therapist. I think I'm at the stage where I want those more than I want the basement tapes, because I have a clue about what is on those tapes and I really have no idea how the therapy files look and what is in those. I can guess -- and make an educated guess, I hope! -- but my gods I crave to see those.

I agree, thedragonrampant, the therapy files would be fascinating. But I still would vote for the Basement Tapes, specifically the one filmed right before the massacre because I really want to see the interaction between Eric & Dylan and what kind of state of mind they were in just before the event commenced. Did they look scared? Angry? At peace with their decision?

But I don't really have any one item I'd want to have more than anything.

Yes I bet that their journals and the transcripts of the basement tapes are not complete either, I think that there is something else that they are hiding and that perhaps we are not be able to see even though that's was a wish to have: the journals but complete.

I understand that many people don't want to release many things to not keep drawing too much attention of people that would want to copy what they did but these people are doing it anyway and they didn't start last year so I think that with the full basement tapes and journals or not, this kind of things will be happening so is time to see it

Damn, this is so tough because there is a lot of things I would like to know about that isn't readily available... but I've always wondered whether Dylan wanted Eric with for NBK. I'm sure he wanted a female, so he could channel Natural Born Killers in real-life, or Zach Heckler.

I'd also really like to see an interview with the Eric's parents since we know a lot more about the Klebolds, thanks to Brooks and they've been a bit more vocal.

I would also like to read the unredacted diaries and see more crime scene photos, especially ones where you can read all the cards you can see in the library video. They're probably listed but I have a lazy brain.

This topic was recently merged with another topic that was very similar to this one. I can understand why it seems like the two threads should be merged, however this thread is a little bit different to the other thread, so I have decided to reverse the merge.

The other thread also asked what you'd like if you could have one piece of evidence, etc. from Columbine. A lot of people said "The Basement Tapes". This thread is asking a similar question but asks what you would like to have "excluding" The Basement Tapes.

Therefore, I feel this topic should have its own thread.

So, dumb OT question but still to this date no one has managed to decifer/un-redact the journals..no leaks? I'd be thrilled myself to read complete, uncenscored everything Columbine. The redactions annoy me, especially since it's been so long.

Some are possible to decode, and there is unredacted info on the (S)HIT lists. But I dont think there are full unredacted journal copies at all

I would like to read 'em uncensored too. It'd be pretty funny to know who Eric incessantly complains about, he complains about so many people he's just so mad.

Eventually it was figured out that the cassette tape may have been used for a school project where Eric interviewed someone and then, he recorded over the original recording with that little monologue he said on 4/20 or the night before I'm not sure, and then left it on the table in the morning.

As for the topic, call me a really sick and twisted person if you like, but if there was CCTV footage from the library I'd watch it. When you read a fair bit about Columbine (like everyone here) you get an idea in your head of the movements, the timing and how things happened but to actually see it (as sickening as it would be) would sort of take you there in a way. It's not about wanting to watch people die, I find that kinda icky and I can just put the news on for that anyway. It's getting to see the climax of all those diary entries and website tirades. Columbine didn't go down at all the way they had planned, I imagine that would have contributed greatly to the way they handled themselves inside the school. Also I'm curious about Eric and if the broken nose caused any change to his demeanor.

I agree with you. I in no way actually want to see people die, but if I could see just Eric and Dylan's movements without all the gore it would be interesting to me

I thought the other day, since we really haven't had any new stuff in like forever, it'd be pretty cool if we could see the cafeteria recordings before the 20th of April '99. Like, recordings of 4 years, just to see if we could see Eric and Dylan there, their behavior, bullying even? We probably wouldn't see THAT much, but would be cool to see none the less.

home videos with Eric with his family or life at home filmed by them during his teen years.

I'd also like to see a video of Brooks and Eric interacting, its something i've never seen and its hard to imagine them interacting as friends. I've only ever seen them together on the end of year class photo.
