Subject: 2014 University of Calgary stabbing - 5 dead Tue Apr 15, 2014 7:48 pm
A mass stabbing occurred at a house party near the campus of the University of Calgary this morning. The suspect, Matthew de Grood, is alleged to have stabbed 5 students to death. De Grood was apprehended by police whilst fleeing from the scene of the massacre.

It seems that the shootings are old story by now and the guns were not exatcly the problem like some people wanted to show. I still want to know if someone will release a petition to banned knives, I wouldn't be surprise then

Hanson said the suspect was invited to the party, not far from campus. He showed up after working his shift at a grocery store and was welcomed inside.
There had earlier been about 30 people at the party, which neighbours described as quiet and low-key. That number had dwindled to about 20 when violence erupted shortly after 1 a.m.
Hanson said the suspect allegedly brought a weapon, or "instrument,'' from work to the party, but grabbed a large knife from inside the house.
He "targeted the victims one by one, stabbing them several times,'' said the chief.
Another article by the Huffington Post which names some of the victims. Interesting that De Good seems to have been identified as the son of a senior police officer.
