Well, he refused to identify his own gender once. I think that was more of a rejection of culture thing rather than a transgender thing. He probably did support the LGBTQ+, but he supported pedophiles more. I don't think he cared enough about any kind of labels; wether they're related to your identity or just something else. He might be one of those people who always remind you to not make a single trait of yours your whole personality, while explaining that the human life experience is a complicated spectrum and not something dull and simple.
