Fabiano Kipper Mai and the saudades massacre

This is a thread for information about the 2021 saudades massacre, which I feel is one of the most underrated attacks, sorry for any grammatical errors, english is not my language and i wrote this mainly with the translator

Fabiano Kipper Mai:

Fabiano Kipper Mai born on April 3, 2003, in Saudades, Santa Catarina, Brazil. Not much is known about Fabiano's childhood, His father, Mario Mai, he described Fabiano as a lonely and reserved boy but that was not aggressive, he said that he was someone who obeyed and someome that you did not have to repeat him things, he also said that Fabiano suffered Bullying in School and some classmates called him "faggot" for not having a girlfriend .

In mid-2020, due to the pandemic, Fabiano He started taking classes online and became more isolated, Fabiano lived with his mother, father, sister, Despite his age, Fabiano was still studying basic education.

Early 2021, Fabiano started working as a Junior Helper in a local textile factory, There he was described by his colleagues as someone quiet and according to a note released by the factory administration after the massacre he did not have any behavior problems, It is known that Fabiano's routine consisted of getting up, having breakfast, going to work at the factory and returning home to receive online classes.

Massacre:

On May 4, 2021, Fabiano got up as he always did, he put it in his backpack his Lancer II Invictus sword and lots of firecrackers, he went to work by bicycle and when he finished  he went to the Aquarela nursery.

He entered the nursery through the front door, which had no security and was open, when he entered the teacher Keli Adriane Aniecevski, she asked him what was he doing, Fabiano attacked her without words, the seriously injured teacher ran through the corridors warning the teachers of the attacker, who managed to close the doors,  Fabiano tried to enter each room but when he realized that the doors were closed he simply continued to the next room.

On his way, he attacked the teacher and the assistant Mirla Amanda Renner Costa, and the students Sarah Luiza Mahle Sehn, Murilo Massing, Anna Bela Fernandes de Barros and another kid named Henrique.

In the attack and after the screams of his victims and the sound of the firecrackers thrown by Fabiano, the residents entered the nursery armed with sticks and other objects, Then Fabiano was forced to try to commit suicide by stabbing himself with his sword in the neck and abdomen, falling seriously wounded.

2 of his victims died in the nursery and the others died moments later, the kid named Henrique managed to survive after a woman took the kid to the hospital before the arrival of the first meds, Fabiano was transferred to a hospital 11 kilometers from the nursery and recovered on May 12, where he was placed in pretrial detention and in isolation.

Trial:

The scheduled date for Fabiano's trial was announced a day after Luiz Henrique de Lima murdered 4 children with an ax in a daycare center in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, The date chosen, August 9, 2023, would be a trial by popular jury and would not be public.

On August 9, 2023, Fabiano arrived at the court, wearing a bulletproof vest and fully shaved. The first day of the trial consisted of the statement of the victims and of Fabiano's family.

Not much is known about what happened at the trial or what was shown, it is known that Fabiano's father had nervous breakdowns at various times, And that Fabiano remained silent without showing emotions.

On August 10, 2023, Fabiano was sentenced to 329 years and 4 months in prison for the Saudades massacre, He was also sentenced to pay R$ 500 mil to the family of the 5 murdered, R$ 400 mil to the family of the injured kid and R$ 40 mil To the family of the 14 victims of attempted murder.

It was also ruled that everything related to and seized in the case had to be destroyed, Including things like the sword used and Fabiano's personal items like his computer and cell phone.

Motive:

According to the police and his lawyer, Fabiano's motive was generalized misanthropy and fame, according to the police, Fabiano would have been in communities dedicated to murderers and violent things, where he met people with his same ideals of hatred for humanity, Fabiano's hatred was initially for a small group of people but as time passed, his hatred became generalized to all, his lawyer said that Fabiano confessed to him that he chose the nursery because it was an easier target due to the characteristics of the victims and thus he had the possibility of killing more people because he wanted a massacre

Facts About Fabiano Kipper Mai:

-He told his lawyer that he was born on September 11, 2001, even though he was actually born on April 3, 2003.

-He told his lawyer that his original plan was to commit a shooting at his old high school and then kill himself, he wanted his victims' names out so people would know the name of his supposed bullies, Fabiano abandoned the plan because he couldn't get a firearm.

-Fabiano was obsessed with killers and identified with them because he was bullied, when his lawyer asked him what would happen if a murderer entered his house, he said that he would be grateful and treat him well.

-Fabiano once threatened his sister with killing the family pet.

-Fabiano planned the attack on the nursery at least 10 months in advance

-According to his lawyer, Fabiano decided to commit the massacre  5 days before the massacre.

-Fabiano was afraid of the dark and slept with his parents

-Fabiano left a Pendrive with a file called "Killer Video" which of course is not public

-During the massacre Fabiano thought about committing suicide by exploding his head, putting the firecrackers he had brought in his mouth, but he did not.

-According to the doctors who took Fabiano, although he was seriously injured, he was still conscious and kept asking how many he had killed in the ambulance, He is quoted saying, "How much i killed?, 5 right?"

-Fabiano left at least 18 firecrackers in a room

-Fabiano did the Rorschach test that  was inconclusive since it did not associate the spots with real things or objects

-When the sword used in the massacre came to Fabiano, he showed it to his family and told them that it was for decoration and that he planned to buy a shelf to hang it as an decoration

-Fabiano left a comment on a forum about a crime, in the comment he said that he did not understand why this crime had become so popular because only one person died

-Fabiano had no criminal record

-The factory where Fabiano worked made clothes for famous brands

-Fabiano liked video games a lot and according to some acquaintances it was one of his main topics of conversation

-Were found R$ 11.000 In Fabiano's house which were his savings from work

-Fabiano was known for mistreating animals although a nobody reportes this

More facts about fabiano Kipper Mai, this according to his lawyer in his YT channel

-Although Fabiano has confessed to the attack and has said that he planned it in advance, At the same time, according to his lawyer, Fabiano says he does not remember anything about the attack and apparently has no remorse, he says people are falsely framing him and all he remembers is lying on the floor bleeding in daycare, he did a test to prove if he was lying or not but it was inconclusive

-He says that his father died, although in reality his father is alive and at least, before he went to prison, while he was in isolation he was visited by his father.

-Fabiano loved his mother very much and had a close relationship with her, his mother who suffered or suffers from cancer was often cared by Fabiano, shes actually the only family member who, as far as I know, has not spoken out about the attack

-Fabiano hated the principal of his school for not paying attention to the bullying he suffered

-His lawyer says that Fabiano's mental health has seriously deteriorated, he says that he no longer knows what day it is and often asked when he would be released from prison

-He is in the Chapecó Regional Prison right now

-Fabiano was or at least his family is christian, There are photos of Fabiano being blessed by a pastor in the church, although we don't know if he believes it or not.

Facts about the saudades massacre (not related with Fabiano as person)

-His father Mario Mai he told reporters that Fabiano had destroyed the family after the attack and that he expected him to pay for his actions.

-Fabiano's father worked with the father of one of the victims of the massacre, although it does not appear that this was relevant to the attack or that the Mai family had a direct relationship with the father of the Victim

-Fabiano's father had several breakdowns during Fabiano's tria

-His lawyer tried to reduce Fabiano's sentence to at least 40 years, arguing that he was mentally ill, this obviously didn't work

-His sister posted photos of Fabiano on Instagram, she recently posted a post saying "Saudades strong"

I don't know if he Used firecrackers, I have seen that the explosives I he used were described as firecracker or bombs, Since apparently the bombs didn't do any damage and he had a lot of that (+18 bombs), i guess is that he used firecrackers but I'm not sure about that or if he did it or bought it.
