Mass stabbing in a Sydney mall today. By recent info 7 people include perpetrator were killed and 8 injured. Police are investigating links to terrorism.
Apparently, the attacker was another monkey descending from a tree. So many associations with Crocus..

6 dead, including the attacker who was shot dead by the police, 8+ injured including one critically. The children are among the victims.

It sounds like the police woman on the scene was a bit of a hero sorting this out single handedly. She got in there, spoke to the attacker and then shot him and started cpr according to British news sources. Could have been a lot worse. American campus police take note.

Yeah the cop that took him out is being treated as a hero in the news here. Apparently the attacker had schizophrenia and was pissed off about his ex leaving him and having a kid with someone else. Don't know how truthful that is tho.

One news site (The Telegraph) is saying this guy had a history of using drugs. They're now saying 6 dead, 12 injured.

The bbc speculated that it was possibly female based since all the victims except the security guard were women. That would fit in if he was angry with an ex.
