Not talking about underage shooters, but it appears that many school shooters are immature for their age.

Audrey hale: had a "childlike obsession with staying a child", most of her artwork was about children's cartoons or childhood.

Anthony mcrae: manifesto looks like it was written by a 5th grader, upset over public school bullying as a 43 year old

Nikolas cruz: had the intelligence of a child, writing was very childish.

Its different for mass shooters. Cruz and Mcrae had a low IQ and were just flat out stupid, Hale used her childhood as escapism which made her look like child. A lot of them hold grudges which can make seem immature or they could just have low intelligence.

The desire to stay a child or go back to being a child is actually very common among women who were taught to fear or hate sexuality, especially in a religious setting.

For a normal, non-killer example of this phenomenon, you can watch this interview:

John is a good interviewer, but dang he always makes these so long.
