What do you think Eric was talking about?

I was reading Eric's journal transcript when I came across this quote:

"I wonder if anyone will write a book on me. sure is a ton of symbolism, double meanings, themes, appearance vs reality shit going on here. oh well, it better be fuckin good if it is writtin." - from Eric's journal

It just got me thinking and I was wondering what kind of symbolism, double meanings, themes, appearance vs reality do you think Eric was referring to? And do you think any of the books written about Columbine would live up to Eric's standards?

I think he meant that other peoples' words and actions took on an ironic meaning.

Like if someone said to him, "Hey Eric, are you ready for the end of the school year? Hard to believe we'll be leaving this place for good."

They would mean one thing by it, but he would be hearing it a different way.
