I'm not sure about Eric, but I'm pretty sure that Dylan lost a good bit of weight in the last year or so of his life. In Dylan's autopsy report he weighted 143, however his driver's license stated his weight as 180

Then again he may have exaggerated his weight on his license.

I don't Dylan lied. In the Juvenile Diversion Files he was listed as 6'3 180lbs

Also, in a short clip we have him when he in his junior year...he looks much more "filler". His face. Compare it by his senior year. It's really interesting.

It's the depression. Depression will make you lose a lot of weight. I had severe depression once and lost 30 pounds in 10 days, so it is quite possible that is what happened to Dylan. And chances are, as NBK got closer, he probably got more and more depressed. It is very possible that he dropped 40+ pounds in a few months.

Seems like Dylan was already a stick by the time September '98 hit. We see him in the Car Wax Commercial, and he looks very skinny. By the time March '99 hit you can see how skinnier he got, his hair got very unhealthy, and so did his body.

He must have lost 40 lbs between Jan 30 '98 and August 31 '98

7 months in between.

Well, there might be some angle to this, especially since we have evidence that Dylan lost so much weight.

Having said that, I've been underweight since early childhood with a BMI of 16-17. I've never had anorexia, bulimia or any eating disorder. That's just how my metabolism seems to work. I can eat 2 bars of white chocolate a day in addition to 3 full meal and a bag of cheese crisps and my weight stays in the 16-17 BMI range.

I guess some people have all the luck ^^^^

Dylan to me was depressed, and lost ton of weight. The big thing that interested me is when he put on his trenchcoat in the Basement Tapes.

"I look fat on the side. I look fat with all this stuff on it."
"But I don't want to take off my coat. I like my coat."

I don't think he cared about looking "thin". I think he was more concerned with looking suspicious.
If Dylan (a normally rail-thin guy) shows up in his trench coat and its all lumpy and huge, someone would (should) have noticed.  
That's what I think he was talking about when he said "I look fat on the side. I look fat with all this stuff on it."

IMHO, Trench coats are pretty bad ass. I wouldn't want to take it off either

I don't think him saying he'd have to take the coat off had anything to do with how he looked, it was about access to his gun.

The mention of looking fat I always thought was more about it being obvious be had something under his coat, which wouldn't be good if you're trying to look normal and conceal something.

Maybe he was conflicted? Loving the coat and looking badass, but feeling fat. Eric took his coat off outside the West Entrance; Dylan took his off outside the library. Maybe he wanted people to see him in the coat to inspire fear, but also wanted to look thin in front of the cafeteria cameras and those in the library.

I'm pretty sure it was neither. The heavy coat impeded arm movement required to load weapons, aim etc. That's why Eric ditched his as soon as the shooting started. Dylan waited a bit, probably wanting to just look cool and he did love that trench.

Too bad you can't wear a trench coat in high school now a days because of these douchebags.

I tried wearing a trench in high school, and boy did I get some shit for that.
