Oh my Lord, I didn't know it was possible but some of these are new to me. In fact quite a few of them are. Thank you very much!

Most of them are new to all of us

That pic of young Dylan hugging Tom saddens me so much. You can see his love for Dylan in Tom's eyes.. I have a son myself, and i just can't imagine how they must feel.
My son is also bright, shy and sensitive and a perfectionist to the point where he -for example- can be really mad at himself for making just a little mistake while building with his Lego's. I'm also very tall like Sue (probably taller) and so is my son. Scares the sh*t out of me sometimes.

Was the scene with Dylan and the other kid with a pipe bomb supposed to be Dylan and Eric?

He’s actually wearing it in 2 of the photos: the first pic and the third to last pic.

It sounds like your son has some gifted tendencies! GT kids are very conscientious of the world around them. Another factor many- but not all- gifted children have is perfectionism.

Some of these pictures, especially in the first one, Dylan looks so young. He wasn’t even considered an adult (18). It certainly doesn’t give them a pass, but they were still kids in a lot of ways.

I'd assume that's his "oh shit I'm on camera" or "I don't know these people" smile

The last photo in the series seems like more of a genuine smile, as he was probably caught my surprise

The red/orange Union Bay shirt seems the most genuine smile.  The last one seems a bit nervous, maybe even the 'contempt' smirk with one side of the mouth like Eric semi-famous for. The socks or whatever he's holding probably aren't making him seriously happy. But then I admit that's psychologizing, say maybe it's the other way around with which one is real/fake. I wonder because he was doing the same toothless smile in the shot when he's really young with Byron, which might suggest he wasn't happy even when that young.

dylan's smile in that last pic is something like "thanks tom, but in 3 days you will hate me for sure"

his legs were literal toothpicks. Depression really took a huge toll on him

It really is something to look at Dylan in the RNN interview (where he talks about college) or his drivers license and then see him close to the 20. He was a walking skeleton.

anyone notice the pic of tom placing the bow on dylan is like the picture of doing the same thing to his older brother from the interview with dyls grandparents

That last Picture you can tell something is just off comparing the first Picture to the last just tells me something words couldn't express about how he was deteriorating.

Since the very last picture is of him in his boxers.

But I do know exactly what you mean. There’s just this look on his face like the smile is not going all the way up to his eyes and it’s just so strange. Even in hitmen for hire his smile was just so genuine but by the end he was just done

I always sense that theres a sadness in hes eyes. Even when hes smiling
