When did you first become interested in Columbine?

my grandma thought it was a good idea to raise me on dateline and true crime podcasts instead of spongebob but what really got me into school shootings and columbine specifically was some girl i wanted to impress. she was a very stereotypical tumblr/twitter dylan klebold fangirl but she asked me if i knew about columbine, i said not really, she gushed about it and i made the choice to do a load of research about columbine just to have an excuse to talk to her more and we became really good friends. we aren't close anymore but it was that whole interaction that got me into it, and im pretty sure it was also the environmental factor of just growing up to true crime that has kept me into columbine and shootings in general.

Some time between 2021 and 2022

I first became interested in Columbine just from being curious about what happened to the shooters' bodies after the shooting. Also, even though I'm not into conspiracy theories, I couldn't help but notice that the official government report of the incident seems heavily dedicated to making it look like the government didn't do anything wrong that day.

Mid 2019 someone related to my moms past job was injured in a shooting and I looked it up and investigated the shooting and other notable ones and after that I didn't for a while until around April 2020 which is when I saw and watched a Issei Sagawa documentary on youtube which led me to researching Edmund Kemper and Ed Gein which eventually led me to Columbine.
