I read today a relatively new article about Columbine, as always Eric is an evil psychopath and a monster. I think he had a lot of “human” moments before NBK, for example, how he was worried about his dog and his friendship essay. Are there any other such moments, maybe in his childhood? As for Dylan, for some reason, family dinner at McDonalds remained in my memory (probably how Sue described his emotions).
Sorry if there are any mistakes, English is not my first language.

I’m not really sure because up until that day most people thought of them as regular kids. I think we put a lot of emphasis on their good moments because of the horrible thing they did.

Loving your sick dog and being worried about him isn’t really out of the norm but when you end up a couple months later murdering 13 people It kind of makes you think wow they are like us in a way.

I like watching the roast video because Dylan looks so shy and awkward in it But is still really able to joke around with Zach and Brooks. I always imagine that’s how people saw him pretty much until the day of the shooting.

I find it interesting to think of moments when they are listening to their favorite music. I guess that's because I love these bands as well.

Eric: That he was able to masque it so well.

Both: All too human. Especially Dylans depression. Yet, most psychopaths and depressives never kill anyone. What was the building block where they decided that it was OK to do it and that they were going to do it?

I dont think we can ever fully comprehend that

Honestly, I can't stand NIN, but thats because Im used to much harder music than that, probably. So NIN probably ends up sounding like pop music to my ears rather than metal.

But Rammstein and KMFDM, yup, they are awesome.

NIN (Reznor's music in general) is very creative, which gives me a boner since I'm a musician.
On the other hand, Rammstein and KMFDM are like the best bands when I have to survive the day and give no fucks at all.
It all depends on a situation.

But whatever we said, E&D had a really good music taste.

I think the "Hit men for Hire" video does it the most for me, for Dylan anyways. When he stops yelling multiple times because he can't stop laughing.

This, absolutely. No matter how much I read the JeffCo documents, all the news articles, all the other articles, all written by people who have investigated this and have something to say, it's all still... incomplete to me. There's something missing that we won't ever know because the only people who could have even tried to tell us are gone. And even whatever they could tell us would probably still feel incomplete.

It's so frustrating to know you can never understand. At the same time, just think of all the times you've done something - even intentionally and with planning - then years later wondered what the hell you were thinking. My basic - and completely unsatisfying - viewpoint on this is that though we can try to approach some aspect of why, we won't ever have enough to fully answer that question.

Editing to add; favorite "human moment" of Dylan is that short clip of him walking down the steps at columbine, carrying his backpack and coat and smiling. Eric, it's him sitting at the table in the "Eric in Columbine" vid, just chatting and trying to be part of things.

I wish I could shake your hand, because you hit the nail on the head.

I looked for a high five emoticon, but it doesn't appear we have one, otherwise I'd offer at least that.
