I did not make this post. I brought it over from the original RPG. I find it an interesting thread and thought we could discuss it here. Again, I did not create the original thread. I have quoted the original  author. Again, feel free to bring over any topics you'd wish to discuss here.

005675 - Frank DeAngelis' Statement.

DeAngelis claims that it was his normal routine to go to the Library each day "no later than 1115 hours", but was delayed/prevented from going on April 20th due to a conversation with a contract teacher who he was making an permanent job offer to at that time that morning.

This stuck out to me; if DeAngelis had been in the Library at 11:15 am per his normal daily routine, and had stayed there until 11:29 am, would Eric or Dylan have shot him on sight?

Did his conversation with "Kiki" prevent him from certain death or injury?

Would Eric and/or Dylan have targeted DeAngelis deliberately if they confronted him, up close and personal, hiding inside the Library? If so, do you think DeAngelis would have tried to talk them down, or would he have simply hidden with the students and begged for his own life if given the opportunity to address Eric/Dylan?

Would DeAngelis have departed the Library upon the first indication that something was terribly amiss outside the West Entrance, or would he remain in the Library with her and those hiding under the tables? Would Neilson's frantic run into the Library been the first indication of the horror unfolding?

Did Eric or Dylan know that DeAngelis had a routine of going to the Library each day by 11:15 am?

DeAngelis states that he saw a shooter who shot towards him, then he ran to warn girls coming from the gym area/locker room of a shooter in the school and chaperoned these girls into a "secure" room inside the gym, only to return minutes later to retrieve the girls and escort them to safety outside. At which point, DeAngelis does not return to the interior of the school, but instead calls his supervisor and waits for LE to arrive.

Interesting.

I'm sure he was scared, and I'm sure that escorting the girls to safety was the right choice, but it seems sad to me that he fled the school knowing other students/staff were still inside, and at great risk. I suppose I expect a Principal to take every opportunity to spare all of his charges, but he is only human, and I can sympathize with his confusion and fear.

Perhaps after he escorted the girls to Clement Park, he was unable to return inside of the school due to the arrival of LE?

Apparently he played favourites with certain students. He sounds like a tool to me.

There's no doubt in my mind he would have been shot. Even if Eric and Dylan didn't have any personal discrepancies with him they still would have shot him because of who he was.

By the way, I'm not even sure I buy his story about being shot at. Seems like everybody and their mother was shot at that day.

Yip, he would've been shot most definitely. In D+E's eyes, he was like the "queen bee of the hive". They would've probably ridiculed him for his obliviousness to the bullying they received, then shot him. Luckily for deAngelis, he was at the right place at the right time.

According to Michael Moore, over 900 rounds of ammunition were fired. So I guess it is possible that everybody and their mother really was shot at.

I read somewhere that over 1000 rounds of ammunition were fired inside and outside of the school.
Has anyone else ever thought it was strange how they had a shit-ton of bullets, but only managed to kill 13 people? (Technically 15 including themselves).
They seriously could have wiped out half the school with the ammunition alone.

I think they only killed 13 people because they spent a majority of their time running up and down the stairs to go to the cafeteria and mess around with the bombs, and then the rest of their time running around the halls screaming and giggling shooting at lockers and trashcans.

I think Eric was really disappointed that his bombs didn't go off and that he wanted to try and get them to blow up, hence why they spent so much time messing around with them and I think Dylan was just having fun and following Eric's lead.

I think the bulk of rounds fired came from LE. IDK if anyone here owns any guns but with how many clips (or magazines if you want to be technical) they had they would have had to stop and reload them several times to discharge that many rounds. When I go to the range I usually fire about 1000 rounds and I'm there a few hours, so based on that I would have to say they did not fire that many rounds themselves. Eric had was it 13 mags so 10 x 13= 130 and Dylan was using 32 round mags I think he had 5, and not all were discharged but lets say they were thats still 160 so there is 290 rounds. Now to load all of those 5 times would take quite a while, best guess 15-20 min each time they reloaded all of them.
