I think it could also be the opposite: in the US so many people have guns that you don't know when people are joking, bragging or are serious. In countries where there are no guns people are not used to this kind of threats, so they may take it more seriously. I think people start really worrying when they know the boy has guns. Because it is not something "normal" for a teenager, especially if he posts pictures of it. But I think most people think that people usually don't have guns so it is probably BB guns.
I don't know if people were really aware that Vladislav had guns.

Vlad appears to be a soulless murderer who did it just because he could and wanted to leave a strong impression after he passes away. He mentions that he lacks empathy in one of his talks. Thing is he was really obsessed with Columbine and serial killers of sorts, and did his best to straight up copycat Columbine in Russia. Last I read his mother had tried to commit suicide after she realized that Vlad was responsible for the attack. Then it has been floating around that she may have been institutionalized after having a mental breakdown. But I have yet to find anything that proves or disproves this. This seems like a very sad situation all around.

As to what to trust or not, that is very hard to know. My research abilities have been almost stopped dead on this case due to the different language. It's hard to know what things that have been translated is correct.

The first reports that were released were saying that it was a terrorist attack. Then they changed it after more info was found.

I’m not 100% sure, I’ve seen an article regarding that. All who wished were putting money in some girl’s bank account. Then this girl went with his gran to the post office to get the money but the police met them and the girl was interrogated. Everything was ok with her so his gran will go to the post office as soon as she can accompanied by the police members.

I can think of two reasons for that.
1. He's not the focus of the photographs, so naturally he wouldn't be looking at the camera.
2. He really is that miserable and shy that he wants to avoid people's attention.

That is very interesting.  Because in my honest opinion, he wasn't unattractive in the least. BUT that just goes to show you how people can sometimes view themselves compared to how others possibly see them.
