A theory, Dylans depression.

Is it possible that this can have resulted in DKs anger and depression? I know that Jeff Kass did mention it as a theory:

I think the fact that he felt so rejected by humanity as a whole including girls was a part of it. But I don't think that was why he was depressed entirely. I think many things were perceived as wrong by Dylan and that made him depressed. Even in his journal he mentions his parents hate him, he has no gf, no friends, Eric was going to be "going away", and that he had nothing of substance in his life.

So while I think he was yearning for a "halcyon girl" I think there were many other things he wanted as well.

Yeah, maybe. I think Dylan's stopping of masturbating at the end of his life probably wasn't healthy and led to sexual frustration. He's a 17-year-old boy, there was no need for him to stop masturbating entirely.

And how exactly do you know this happened?

I wonder if he was talking about stopping masturbating in general or masturbating to a certain female.
It almost seems like he feels guilty about masturbating to a girl who doesn't have feelings toward him.
That entry has an apologetic vibe to it.

It is interesting. Maybe he thought it was objectifying to women, and didn't want to view the girl he loved in a sexual sense.
