Are we positive that he's smoking here? I recall Sue saying something about Dylan always lying to her about smoking while he was alive, so I don't think he'd have smoked in front of his family. Maybe he's holding a birthday candle? It is a weird way to hold a cigarette you're actively smoking, anyway.

It looks kinda like a candle. Considering it was at someone’s birthday it could be. Maybe I just need new eyes idk but it looks like a candle to me.
