Welcome to part 3 of what if mass shooters were taken alive by the police? I reckon it would lead to Conneticut introducing the death penalty. What about you guys?

But yea Lanza would likely receive the death penalty and reintroduce it. However the last capital punishment in Connecticut was in 2005 of Michael Bruce Ross
Then Connecticut ended capital punishment later in 2012

Anyways your hypotheticals suck, Adam went to SH 100% expecting to die & there was no way he wouldve been taken alive. Who cares what wouldve happened if he lived, he didn't Id expect he'd request death though

I think the moment he entered that school his death was basically guaranteed. Even if he willingly surrendered (which would never happen) first responders would've probably shot him on sight, intentionally or not. Either way he wouldn't have lasted long in prison, he'd either die from severe anorexia, kill himself or someone would end up doing it for him. The only other scenario I can see happening is a suicide by cop like what happened with Salvador Ramos.

He'd probably have gotten a life sentence without parole, or have pleaded insanity based on his mental issues.
