so i was reading through this again because bill ockham posted it on twitter and i started thinking about something. eric talks about torturing, spitting and pissing on brooks and he uses the word 'we.' this is implying that he and dylan would be torturing brooks. he knew that dylan and brooks were friends and i can't understand why he would think dylan would want to brutally torture his friend. even when eric and brooks were fighting, they both knew it was putting a strain on dylan. so why the fuck would he think dylan would do this with him? and what do you think dylan would think if he knew that eric was writing him into these plans like this?

i feel like this was a fantasy of eric's, moreso than an actual plan. the dude couldn't even stab someone, let alone torture someone for several hours.

I would think the short answer is because they were already doing the missions together and it's basically an extended one of those at that point.

But it's worth reading for several reasons.

He says they will wear balaclavas to begin. Some witnesses report masks, and Eric had one in his pocket. Patti (who, on a proper timeline of the massacre, is what kicked off the shooting) notes something on Eric's head, as does Bryan.

He says they will blow themselves up with crickets, and also lace them with poison to hurt the cops. I submit they were supposed to blow up in the library the first time, hence shooting at the bomb and coming back to the library, and lighting the molotov with his last crickets at his feet.  I think they kept the first part, and it seems like the second part might be the origin of the "booby trap" story which usually replaces that.  The masks would sure add to the idea that they planned on this being blamed on mysterious terrorists.

He says he isn't even sure yet they will get guns. He calls a shotgun a "3" because dedicated to the video game LARP.

He says Duke specifically even though people act like they were just "DOOM fans".

The T shirts originally would say NBK and R and V.

And so on.

And you're right about the date that's usually given, but it's not on the paper, so one wonders how they got that. He says "some time in April" which is kinda weird if it is April. I accept it myself but provisionally, with some skepticism. It seems surely the version of "eric and dylan attack the school together" rather than either one individually imagining massacring Denver or whatever.  

April 26 was also "orientation" for diversion. Then it's May when then they get the yearbooks wherein Dylan calls it the holy April morning of NBK and  all and seems to be all in.
