Have any of you noticed the physical looks of shooters? They are not bad looking men at all. I'm not gay of course, just some small stuff I noticed. I guess it was the creepiness of Eric and Dylan that freaked the women out.

I don't think it was the looks, but I don't know really. I'm a lone outcast, and I don't consider myself ugly. I think it's generally more about social interaction and attitude.

I was really shy in school, but now since I'm in college, I'm more talkative. Also, having aspergers doesn't help, I ask myself everyday did god give me aspergers for a purpose? I always believe things happen for a reason.

Speaking as someone who is in the same age group as e&d, was into all the same music/movies/other dumb BS they were into and was probably on the same social level, I like Dylan's style, and Eric looked pretty cute in some of his senior pics.
Shallow thoughts aside, here's an example for you. Eric has a familiar "any guy" look to him. But watch him in the "Eric in columbine" video and anyone with any brain cells can see why he wasn't voted hottest guy in school. The dude was geeky and awkward; his mannerisms screamed uncomfortable and nervous, which are not stable, ideal masculine traits. And back then guys like that never got the popular girls.
And thats what he wanted; cute, bubbly, play dumb popular chicks that generally only go for "hot" guys who are Also popular. For a dude who put a lot of emphasis in having a girl he could have deep conversations with, he sure did pick seemingly dense (his words), no substance chicks. And guess why? B/c Eric was shallow. Just Like those "bitches" who wouldn't give him the time of day b/c he didn't meet their standards, he was doing the exact same thing they were. Like its been explained to death all over the forum as to why e&d were unsuccessful with girls, THEY SET THEIR STANDARDS TOO HIGH. Look at Dylan, he didn't want the girls that hung around him who actually liked him and wanted to go out with him. Nah they weren't good enough, he wanted hotter, better, more ideal chicks. So it works both ways, and sometimes you have to see past what's on the outside.

Exactly, I thought Robyn and Dylan were cute together, before he went insane of course.

Well I think it has to do with the fact that most mass murderers do the deed in their late teens to early twenties, and for obvious reasons they will never age. Now I dare you to find a fangirl swooning over Terry Nichols or Brenda Spencer these days, haha.

Who knows maybe Rachel could've helped them on the right path? Who knows though? they were too far gone in the head.

It's because of other people they didn't see it. It's quite simple really. When you're good looking and you stand out, you get targeted and you're seen as a threat, therefore you get insulted, belittled, called out, get alienated just so YOU yourself can't realize it that you ARE indeed special and not like the rest of the crowd, that's what Dylan and Eric were, but they failed to realize their talents and looks because of the mindless crowd. It's quite common in schools actually, self-realization comes later in life and you actually see how wrong bullies were and how wrong everyone else were.
That's why you see all these "wow he/she was ugly in school but he's/she's so good looking now!" going around. You get targeted when you're special so they can keep you down.
Eric and Dylan didn't realize this and chose the violent response.

Is that why the jocks and cheerleaders are insecure towards others?

I didn't mean going out with them, I meant trying to reach out as a friend.

Rachel appeared in a high school play where E or D had something to do with running the lights or, uh, something like that. I don't remember the specific details but in the Cullen book one of them "saved" her.
Yes, the *Cullen* book, so yeah yeah everyone's going to wonder the veracity of it, so lemme know if it's not actually true.

That was Dylan. So I'd say Dylan knew of her, Eric probably hardly, but that's the extent of their connection. In regards to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] saying she could reach out to them as a friend, in the first place they don't even acknowledge each other's existence, they barely knew one another. Why would she try to reach out to them as a friend. I'm not sure if you watched the movie but it sounds like you're influenced by how the movie fictionalised that plot. Besides, Eric and Dylan most likely didn't want any "reaching out to" by their fellow peers.

Well, I doubt that would happen because they considered her to be a "godly little whore."

That wasn't referred to Rachel Scott on the tape it was another Rachel in one of their classes.

Brooks Brown answered this Q: as stating he doubted Eric knew of her much if at all and that Dylan was an acquaintance via running the sound board for school plays. He wasn't aware if either had feelings for her, but was pretty clear that at most Dylan was an acquaintance.

He also said Dylan wouldn't have shot Rachel because he knew her.

They were very good looking guys but they weren't in the right socially in that community so their looks didn't matter much. They didn't dress the "right "way, have the "right" interests, weren't involved in the "right" activities, didn't hang out with the "right " people( although most of them rejected E &D obviously) so having good looks made no difference. If they would have went to a different school in a different community where people were more open minded and accepting they'd probably have had some popularity with girls.

One thing that really shits me with regard to this actually, is Dave Cullen's assertion that Eric was a "lady's man". Like hello? Did you read his journal? Ugh.

Eric was way more conventionally attractive than Dylan.
Interestingly, the magazine cover has two large colorful pictures of the shooters, and even the letters are located behind their heads. But photos of victims is small and black-and-white, and the letters partially cover the faces of some of them.

I don't think Time would do anything that tasteless again.
Although they do still have killers on the cover.

I don't necessarily think that he had, "high standards" because none of those girls were cheerleaders or outstandingly popular. They also weren’t particularly good-looking. Most of them had rather unremarkable looks and some were even, “beneath average” appearance-wise. So their average social status matched their looks. Which makes me think that he didn’t have high standards, but that he wanted what he couldn’t have. Most of these girls seemed unavailable in some way, and I suppose that made him want them even more. Some of them had boyfriends while the rest simply never showed any interest in him, no matter how hard he tried pursuing them.

If these guys were handsome then I'm the second coming of Brad Pitt. They were not handsome. They were below average looking guys. And Eric was somewhat more attractive than Dylan, but that didn't really matter because he was short, scrawny, terrible frame, weird mannerisms, and just an overall body language of a pathetic scared low self esteem kid. He was photogenic. He looked better in photos than he did in person.
They didn't get girls because their standards were too high, especially Eric's. Sorry bud, but the girls you were aiming for like guys who have high status in high school, and somewhat good looking. You had neither.
