It's that time of year again.
On this date - Tuesday, April 6, 1999 - 15 people had two weeks to live.

why did they do it on the 20th of april anyway? i haven't researched the case very much. also it's crazy that all of the survivors are well into their 30s now - some probably have children of their own.

It's even crazier that some of the survivors work at Columbine High School now.

oh yeah, i heard of that. honestly that's really cool of them to do so, i figured that they would have a lot of trauma about going back to the same building so they must be very resilient people.

I'm going to try to go to the memorial after work on Thursday, but it's a trek. If I don't go Thursday, I'll go on Saturday morning.

The anniversary is today, my condolences to everyone that endured one of the scariest acts of mass shootings that happened in a school, a place you expect the last thing to happen and only a place to go to learn and nothing else, a faithful day that will always be remembered of any past mistakes that were made so that people in our present time can atleast try to prevent more chaos and terror from happening in any school hopefully.

The sun had risen on the last day of their lives.

It's 12:08. Eric and Dylan are dead.
Dave Sanders is slowly bleeding to death.

I left roses for everyone at the memorial today. Always very sobering.

4:39. The bodies are still in the library and will remain there overnight.
For the survivors and the families the nightmare is just beginning.

AFAIK, they wanted to do it for either on April 19th or 20th for the following reasons:
1. 19th in tribute/to rival the Oklahoma City Bombing, but the day before the 19th (the 18th) they probably realized Eric wouldn't have enough 9mm ammo to hypothecically finish off and shoot any survivors after the bombs would go off, so they postponed it for the 20th (my best guess) 2. 20th for because it was Hitler's would be 110th birthday or because KMFDM's newest album Aidos was going to be released that day OR both. Side theory: What if the 19th was planned but Eric knew Aidos was going to be released on the 20th, AROUND/the day/time before the attack would happen (if this theory sounds retarded I understand, but it was just something I was thinking of, I hope anyone can understand what Im trying to say and what I mean by this theory)
I know all evidence seems to point to the 20th being intentionally picked, but a part of me swears they were considering the 19th. But whatever the dates, they had to have been chosen for a reason.
