Ahead of the appeal hearing regarding Gymnasia No. 175 Shooting in Kazan the board of judges of the 4th Court of Appeal of Nizhny Novgorod got 2 complaints from the father of Ilnaz Galyaviev. Ilnaz's father pointed out procedural irregularities during the investigation and judicial proceedings in Kazan.

In his opinion, the court ignored testimony from the teachers, the director of the school and the pupils regarding the shooting after Ilnaz's arrest. He also claimed the key witnesses weren't questioned, security footage is missing and that his testimony regarding 3 rifles was ignored.

The complaint also includes inaction of the lawyer. He said that the public defender didn't clarify any details during the court hearing.

The appeal hearing will be held on the 7th of August in Nizhny Novgorod. Ilnaz will take part in the hearing via videoconferencing.
