His constitutional rights and legal interests are not violated, the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Orenburg Region reported to TASS.
Several Telegram channels reported earlier that Galyaviev was held in solitary confinement, wasn’t allowed to work without any explanation and didn’t get any letters from his relatives for a long time.
“The information regarding the alleged violation of rights of the inmates who are currently serving their sentence at the Penal Colony No. 6 is not true. Inmate Galyaviev is being held in a two-person cell which meets all standards. His constitutional rights and legal interests are not violated. Based on the medical examination report results inmate Galyaviev wasn’t allowed to work at the production facilities of the prison according to the regulatory requirements on healthcare”, - the statement said.
The press-service also reported that Galyaviev didn’t experience any moral or physical pressure from the administration or other inmates, he regularly receives letters and parcels. “All inmates of the Penal Colony No. 6 who suitable for health reasons are employed at the production facilities of the prison according to the requirements of labor legislation and receive a salary”.
The Federal Penitentiary Service noted that the information about inmates not being able to go out for a walk is also not true – all inmates have a right to go out during the day and corresponding areas have a camera surveillance system.
