Question about DNA transfer

I was reading through some of the evidence logs for the Sandy Hook shooting and came across a statement where they found two samples of DNA from the crime scene at the school in the Lanza house. I'm guessing that an investigator who was at both scenes accidentally transfered it there, but I was wondering if anyone here came across anything that confirms how it got there.
