| Great stuff, LPorter! The road in the second picture looks like South Pierce Street, right? Man does everything look so bare at the time. | |

I think so. Even in my own lifetime (I'm thirty), I can remember going with my mother to a town a few hundred miles north of me and seeing nothing but fields with horses grazing in them for miles on end ... now it's all strip malls and housing developments. _________________ Why does anyone do anything?

Even in my own lifetime (I'm thirty), I can remember going with my mother to a town a few hundred miles north of me and seeing nothing but fields with horses grazing in them for miles on end ... now it's all strip malls and housing developments. I'm almost 24 and about 15 years ago the nearest city began consuming my (former) small suburb. What was once fields full of cows and hay bales are now strip malls and luxury apartments. I actually moved because they started building a Walmart about 2/3rds of a mile down from my old place. Its overwhelming when you see the speed at which the world is growing with your own eyes. I can't imagine what the state of things will be in a hundred years. | |
