Question about an article I found Empty
PostSubject: Question about an article I found    Question about an article I found Icon_minitimeTue Dec 29, 2015 2:42 pm

I have a question, and I was wondering whether anybody might be able to help to answer it for me. A while back, I found a Wikipedia article about the shootings (as a matter of principle, I don’t use Wikipedia as a reliable source of reference because of how easily it can be edited by anybody, but I stumbled upon this article and read it) and it had a section about Dylan which talked about his sexuality. It mentioned that he identified as bisexual on certain online profiles, and there was also the following quotation: “Traces of Harris’ DNA were found on Klebold’s lips and tongue at autopsy”.
Is any of this true? I’ve never heard it anywhere else and, quite frankly, it sounds like just another fake piece of gossip (after all, if it came off of Wikipedia, it could have been invented by anybody just for fun). But is there any foundation to it at all? I’d really appreciate other opinions on this matter because it seems rather strange.

I hope this isn't a silly/irrelevant question!

PostSubject: Re: Question about an article I found    Question about an article I found Icon_minitimeTue Dec 29, 2015 3:02 pm

Klebold struggled with and questioned his sexuality, at times self-identifying as bisexual on online profiles;[10] - referenced from Larkin, Ralph W. (2007). Comprehending Columbine p. 141

It is actually on page 165 of Larkin's book. It states, "In addition, Dylan may have been confused about his sexual identity. Dylan presented himself as a bisexual in an online chat room (Columbine Research Site 2003)".

Which Columbine Research Site stated this & what the source was I do not know.

In addition to this, traces of Harris' DNA were found on Klebold's lips and tongue at autopsy.[11] referenced from Cullen, Dave (2009). Columbine.

I searched Cullen's book & could not find any reference to the above statement.

*I have submitted an edit request to Wikipedia regarding this false statement

Even if you found a reference to this from Cullen, it's probably still bullshit.

PostSubject: Re: Question about an article I found    Question about an article I found Icon_minitimeWed Dec 30, 2015 10:28 am

I don't suppose there are any screenshots like the ones I have seen for Eric's online profiles, in regards to Dylan self-identifying as bisexual? Or any transcripts of online convos?

I have often wondered if any of the stuff Dylan erased from his computer was any gay/bisexual pornography, I had just assumed (from his journal writing excoriating himself for an interest in bondage) that it was likely S&M porn that he was trying to hide from anyone looking at his computer after the shootings.

Soroityalpha, I'm glad you sent Wikipedia an edit request about the "Harris' DNA were found on Klebold's lips and tongue at autopsy" bit. I don't know if Cullen or even that nutjob Mike Connors could have come up with that ridiculous idea.

That entry [traces of Harris' DNA were found on Klebold's lips and tongue at autopsy.[11] referenced from Cullen, Dave (2009). Columbine] was just put in there last week ... I see Wikipedia has now removed it.

Also, I am pretty sure the reference to Dlyan being bisexual online chat/profile is from the CRTF forum. The only place you will find this information, as far as I know, is the report from Mike Connors, which is NOT to be trusted considering the context.

This is the report in the 11K of Mike Connors. Pages 010438-010440

I am sure this is where the information of Dylan's bisexuality claim emerged from.

CONTROL # 5082

WITNESS:

Connors. Mike, DOB/1-12-59
1590 Wynkoop Street [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Denver. Co. 80202
303-615-5267

INVESTIGATION;

On 9-7-99 CBI Agent Robert Brown received a phone call from an acquaintance by the name of Mike Connors. Connors is a free-lance reporter and a part-time producer of public information shows.

Connors told Agent Brown that he had an Internet conversation and a telephone conversation with Dylan Klebold prior to 4-20-99. Agent Brown prepared a memo reference his phone conversation with Mike Connors, which was forwarded to the Columbine Task Force. A copy of that memo is attached to this report.

On 11-16-99 I spoke to Mike Connors on the telephone reference his reported conversations with Dylan Klebold.

Connors could not recall an exact date, but stated that his conversations with Dylan Klebold took place on a Saturday approximately one to four weeks prior to 4-20-99.

Connors stated that he was in a chat room on his computer. This was a Denver chat room through America On Line. Connors stated that he was viewing personal profiles when he read one that was disturbing. The profile was of Dylan Klebold. The profile read in part that he was a student at Columbine High School, he hated jocks and that he was either anti-religion or anti-Christian, Connors couldn't remember which. The personal quote read that he wanted to kill students at his high school.

Connors stated that he covered the Oklahoma City bombings as a reporter and seeing Klebold's profile concerned him.

Connors sent Klebold a personal message and then had a conversation with him on the Internet.

Connors told Klebold that he had covered the Oklahoma City Bombings as a reporter.

He then asked Klebold why he wanted to kill the students at his high school. Klebold responded by saying that 3/4 of the students deserved to die.

Connors asked him why. Klebold stated that the students had picked on him and that they were mean and judgmental.

Connors stated that he then attempted to explain the impact the Oklahoma City bombings had on the victims, their families and how it ruined so many lives. Connors stated that Klebold asked him a couple of general questions about the Oklahoma City Bombings. Connors stated that Klebold asked about the press coverage and how the bombing affected people.

Connors stated that Klebold also spoke about Eric Harris, Klebold referred to Eric Harris by name and told Connors that he and Harris were lovers.

Connors stated that Klebold also sent him photographs of him and Eric Harris through the computer. Connors told me that he thinks the photos were yearbook photos. Connors stated that he still may have the photograph of Dylan Klebold.

Connors stated that he gave Dylan Klebold his home phone number and Klebold telephoned him on the same afternoon that they had the Internet conversation. When Klebold telephone him, Connors stated that the name Klebold did appear on his caller ID.

Connors stated that during their phone conversation Klebold spoke a lot about his relationship with Eric Harris. Klebold described himself as bi-sexual.

Klebold also asked Connors if he was a Christian. Connors stated "yes," Connors stated that Klebold then "went off on me." Connors stated that Klebold got angry and told Connors that he (Connors) was stupid for being a Christian. Klebold told Connors that the Christians in his high school had been mean to him.

Klebold went on to tell Connors that he admired Hitler.

Connors stated that Klebold wanted to meet him in person, however, Connors decided against it.
Connors stated that Klebold sent him a couple of messages over the computer wanting to meet but Connors didn't respond.

Connors stated that the Internet and phone conversations combined lasted 20 to 30 minutes.

Here is the attached memo:

DATE: September 13 1999

TO: Mark Wilson
      Agent-in-Charge

FROM: Robert Brown
          Agent

SUBJECT Columbine shooting April 20, 1999

On September 07, 1999, I got a call from an old acquaintance by the name of Mike Connors 303 615-5267. Connors is a freelance reporter and part-time producer of public information shows.

Connors was calling for a favor, however I was unable to help him.

During our phone conversation he volunteered that he had been "chatting" with Dylan Klebold on the Internet prior to the April 20, 1999 shooting at Columbine. The reason for the chat session, according to Connors was that Connors had just finished a PBS story on the Oklahoma City bombing case and he was on the net talking to others when Klebold entered the chat room with a curious interest in Connors' story.

Connors and Klebold became friendly and exchanged phone numbers. Some time later Klebold called Connors and they talked more about the Oklahoma City bombing. Connors believed that Klebold was gay and was "hitting on Connors".

Connors tells me that he has never told anyone, particularly law enforcement, of his encounter with Klebold.

Connors is available for an interview should you wish to talk to him.

If you have someone interview Connors have them see me first as I can provide background on Connors.

SA, you come up with some great finds.

I always considered the gay or bisexual talk to be erroneous.. gonna have to rethink that after this sample

Did the police ever follow up on this? The phone company would have had a record of any such call.

What really makes Mike Connors suspect is that he did not come forward with this information until 5 months after the shooting.

And, most of the information he got could have easily been obtained through media articles by that point.

I've always thought this was fake too. It sounds like this reporter was just looking for his piece of the media pie. He references his work on the OKC bombing and Klebolds interest in the subject to make it seem more credible. A reporter who has covered at tragedy like OKC would have no problem talking to the police and making a bullshit story seem true.

I have always found both Connors' and Cullen's interests in the boys a little more than just investigatory "journalism," and even a bit prurient, or am I off base here??? I have always joked before on this forum that I think Cullen has a bit of a crush on Dylan, though I have no idea about his (Cullen's) sexual proclivities, nor do I care. lol!

I know for sure that Cullen is an openly gay man and I think [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] mentioned that Cullen is into the jock type of guys. Not too sure if that was a fact or just his opinion though. I also got a vibe that Cullen may have/had a bit of a crush on Dylan too. I remember thinking that when I read Cullen's book and watched interviews of Cullen saying how Dylan was just this shy follower and Eric was the big bad leader who made Dylan do it.

What a load of horse crap.

Whatever happened to Connors? I don't believe one iota of his bullshit story. I think I tried googling for info on him, but could find nothing. Perhaps he crawled back into the hole he came out of in 1999.
