I think we're all agreed now that he was a vile specimen and the world would have been a better place had he not had a birthday.

Columbine is a relatable case to many. In no way do I condone the actions of the boys at all and there's definitely a reasonable limit to my empathy for the boys, especially on their mental state, the struggles of being a teenager etc. But either way, this is just a thread for all things Eric should anyone have anything to share or discuss.

His birthday and this month in general must be difficult for his family to this day.

These weeks here in April must be extra hard for the Harris family. Feel for them. 35 years since he was born.

I don't care about Eric, but I hope his family can remember some good times.

I don't sympathize with him any more than I do Dylan.It's the same.Eric is more demonized and his basic status as a human being is denied more which puts me in the position of seeming to defend him more.

As far as the above comment I'd say the same thing to defend anyone who had passed away and someone comes along and says "I hope they never find any peace" or worse whether I had any emotional connection to them or not.Anyone.

Still, I will say what I said otherwise:

It's belated on here, but I said a prayer for Eric on his birthday, as I always do every year.

My wish for him (and Dylan, and everyone else who was lost that day) is that they've found complete peace, and if they haven't, that they're on their way to finding it completely.

I've come to realize that I've prayed for Eric more than anyone else it seems. While all of them deserve loving, caring, healing thoughts and energy, I've always known that he needs them the most.

After going through the case thoroughly inclusive of opinions and evidence and various banter and thoughts on this forum, it's safe to say that I feel Dylan was the one that fooled us all, whereas 'Reb' eric tries to portray is a front, such as his journal entries, but he's otherwise irl. I can understand why Eric gets the bad rep and it'd take forever to breakdown every single factor. but, Both of them were excellent at hiding who they were, and who they morph to be in public eye. This will be one of the most complex cases and infer of the boys and hence why we still talk about Columbine today.

Just when we think we can settle on an analysis of one of them, something else comes up and we think otherwise of the other, vice versa. I- or we, can't play favourites here. Both of them have their insanity and demons.

Thank you for this.I think we both know and would agree that the way you expressed above is the Christian way or how the Christian way ought to be.Some Christians seem to relish the thought of someone being lost or tormented in the next life and I will never understand that as long as I live.It's so against Christ and the way he told us to live and what he stands for.
I believe that Eric and Dylan are at peace in Heaven now along with everyone else who died but now they have seen the error of their ways.They understand what happened in its entirety and why they did what they did.They understand the devastation they caused and are repentant but at peace.

That's very true ^^, it's actually quite sad to think about, he lived out his years on earth through death.

I wish peace to each and every victim.

And I still think there were 15 victims who died - and many other victims who are still alive.

I still think Eric would have deserved something else. Even if I detest the things he did and I absolutely disagree with his political views, I recognize that he had a very positive side too. He had many characteristics that I do appreciate, not to mention common interests.
If only he hadn't chosen to join Dylan in this meaningless madness. If only he chose to stay alive. Maybe we would discuss warships and jet fighters on a forum or a newsgroup today. Or we would make stupid jokes about uuuuuseeeeeers.

I shared a photo today on the Facebook page about Eric. And as of right now the photo has gotten 58 thousand views, over 700 likes and 600 shares. That surprises me because normally, the likes are usually around 200 and depending on what the photo is of, the shares would be 100 or less. And the page itself has gained 590 new likes. The comments left for Eric are both good and bad.

Never really put into perspective just how long it has been since the massacre and how soon he'll have been dead longer than he was alive. I share your view. It doesn't make sense for me to extend good thoughts and wishes to dead murderers who most likely would've killed you in their line of sight, regardless of how interesting their legacy is on the safety of an internet forum. Maybe I should just leave my thoughts at that.
