Harambe is a big meme now, so it seems funny to discuss this on the forum, but I get where you're coming from here.
Adam was very interested in Travis the chimp, primarily because he saw the connection between society and the downfall of an animal. He hated modern society a great deal, again, one of the reasons why he took it out on those kids.
Harambe had demonstrated a lot of protective behaviour towards the boy. The child in the enclosure didn't seem to be crying or screaming for anyone. He was pretty quiet, despite his young age, so obviously not too scared of this gorilla. The keepers would have been able to enter the enclosure and remove the child without any harm coming to them. Instead, they shot the animal. A needless death because of a useless parent. (No offence towards the mother here, I'm just stating my own opinion.)
Adam would likely be very angry. His view was that society is corrupt (it kinda is :/) so society destroying another primate wouldn't soften his views at all.
