"IT WILL BE A DAY THAT WILL BE REMEMBERED" - Reason why Columbine Happened

Notoriety - to be famous, to never be forgotten, to leave a lasting impression on the world, is another of the main reasons why Columbine happened.

It is also another reason why school/mass shootings happen.

By killing people, one will become famous/infamous forever.

This is one reason why there are public murders. But do not forget that this is not the only reason. If a person wants to become famous, then there are easier and less bloody ways.

This is in fact the main reason why Eric did it.

He wanted to create a huge national tragedy like Oklahoma City.

This makes total sense if you also factor in that the massacre is so perplexing. It seems they wanted it to be that way. Keep people confused and thinking about it for as long as possible. Bullying? Psychopathy? Depression? Alienation? etc. These reasons don't seem to carry much weight on their own.

Mental health is the reason.. everything else is a supporting cast of influences.
