| Just google Franklin Graham and the Columbine Memorial service.
I'm having trouble understanding what this was. Apparently, this was a government-sponsored event, yet there was blatant Christian proselytizing. I don't think that would happen in today's cultural environment.
Can anyone link to television coverage of this event?

e Thanks! I also wonder if there was any news coverage of the reaction to the memorial service.

| Holy shit, Al Gore himself repeated the Cassie Bernall story and preached a bit. 1 hour, 6 minutes. A response from Obama or Biden would have had fewer religious overtones.
And let's not even think what the current administration would say...

Can anyone link to television coverage of this event? Govt sponsored or not, clergy would be present and short of pulling them from the mic.. not much you can do. I remember reading about non christian religious leaders being put off by their counterparts, but that may have another service.

I guess I got used to the Obama/Biden era where religious beliefs were more downplayed.
