"At least one person has been killed and six have been injured at a church shooting in Antioch.

The shooter is among the wounded, according to the Nashville Fire Department.

At around 11:15 a.m., police began receiving calls that multiple shots were fired with people shot at Burnette Chapel Church of Christ, according to a dispatcher."

The story is still developing. Is this the next Dylann Roof?

Now its been updated to one killed and seven injured.

Probably for the shock value or some kind of religious motives. Like someone with atheistic views who feels like their beliefs are superior might attack a church to make some kind of statement like, "Where's your God now?!" or something stupid like that. It could also be for the shock value like when Lanza attacked SH. Like elementary schools, churches are kind of seen as sacred and innocent places, so it would cause more controversy than if you were to say, shoot up your college campus. Although each shooter has their own motives, that's what I'd imagine being their main two reasons if I had to guess.

Reminds me more of The Knoxville Unitarian Church Shooting. Similar amount of people shot, both took place in Tennessee, Both churches.

No one taking themselves seriously would wear a clownmask while shooting up a church.

Was it ever confirmed that he was indeed wearing the clown mask? There were conflicting news stories on what type of mask. One news story stated he was wearing a neoprene ski mask, while another said it was a clown mask.

Also wanted to point out that the shooter Emanuel Kidega Samson accidentally shot himself in the chest during the rampage, while in a struggle with another church member.

Well I guess he has one up on Eric who just broke his own nose.
