A few hours ago, a shooting took place at a historic black church in South Carolina. Nine people are dead, including the state senator, who was the pastor of the church. The shooter is on the run.
The perpetrator is white, so i'm guessing this was a hate crime.

Sees to be more of a terrorist atatck with a political-racial background more than a spree killing. Effects are similar, underlyign mechanism entirely different.
Might have pretty bad fallout too, especially if the black community launches a reprisal attack aimed at innocent whites unrelated to the group that attacked the church. That's probably what the assilants want to happen.

In one of the pics released on the suspect, he was wearing a shirt that had a unique South African flag on it. Several people of Reddit are convinced it's a hate crime on blacks now (not too sure what the flag means though), and not just a random shooting.

Any reason is a shitty excuse.
I suppose with skin colour (as wrong a reason as it is) we have an explanation as to why he did it - this I guess is what makes Columbine quite interesting.

Doesn't it? Perhaps its the stress of being caught, but he had the same "deer in headlights" wide stare that Adam has in the photos.

I was thinking exactly the same! I think it's mostly the hair, they both have classic bowl cuts.
