There was only one death, that of a faculty member. It is not clear yet if the shooter and the faculty member knew each other. This was either a guy trying to get revenge on a certain professor or a shooting that failed.

Thank god this wasn't another Virginia tech, or anything bad like that. Condolences to the family of the faculty member that was killed today

I was reading some articles and i feel like this was less of a planned mass shooting and more of a targeted shooting for one individual. Apparently he complained about his professor online quite a few times.
