| While looking at massacres in List of massacres by death toll, i found this case in China in which left 7 dead and 5 injured, but couldn't find anything about it at all, just this article with very little text about the perpetrator. Would you like to discuss this case, or discuss why mass murders in China have very limited information? |

| If I remember correctly, the Chinese government deliberately releases little information on rampage attacks in order to prevent copycats. _________________ "If opportunities for role fulfilment fall far short of the demand by those capable of filling roles, and having expectations to do so, only violence and disruption of social organization can follow. Individuals born under these circumstances will be so out of touch with reality as to be incapable even of alienation. Their most complex behaviors will become fragmented. Acquisition, creation and utilization of ideas appropriate for life in a post-industrial cultural-conceptual-technological society will have been blocked." - John B. Calhoun

This is a very good method. |

| I bet that method works. Making huge news stories and putting killer's pictures on TIME magazine probably triggered other people to do it. | |

If Columbine happened in China do you think that it would still get a lot of media attention? _________________ universe

| Meh. The method didn't seem to help much during the spate of school knife attacks during the 2010's. _________________ "If opportunities for role fulfilment fall far short of the demand by those capable of filling roles, and having expectations to do so, only violence and disruption of social organization can follow. If Columbine happened in China do you think that it would still get a lot of media attention? Where - in China or in USA / Europe? There is a lack of interest in Asian massacres in Anglo sphere (Asian people and cultures are too 'different' from our own, we can't relate to them). I doubt that serial / spree killers are glorified in Asian movies, literature and news media like they are in the West; that's another reason we don't hear much about them. Although, I'm no expert when it comes to Asia, so I'm just assuming. Has any of you ever heard about these massacres: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I haven't. | |

| Lol, putting info on shooters don't make others do it. Factors such as bullying and mental illness do. |

Well a large part of Columbine's intense media coverage had to due with the previous school shootings that had taken place during the years preceding Columbine (there are probably other fairly significant factors, but my lack of interest/research into Columbine leaves me unaware of them). A more interesting question would be "What if a Columbine level attack occurred in China during the height of their 2010 knife attacks?"
