What is James Holmes doing in prison?

Is he in general population? What has it been like for him?

Maybe he's trying to be another villain now.

probably getting fat eating junk food and watching DVDs on a flat screen. Hollywood movies make prison life to be much more of a punishment than it is.

yeah most ppl in jail realize murderers are fucked up and beat em up... kinda sad that hes allowed a little protection room all day with nudes from fangirls on the wall so he just sits around and does well... stuff all day after killing 12 people including a kid and a pregnant woman.

legit killed people and his punishment is just to be in a room all day. still can read, write,watch tv,maybe the comupter,fap, and sleep after killing 12. thats fucked up

Yeah. If he had help, he could have been very successful.

I don't know if he was always in protective custody. They said something about him having trouble with a couple gangs after arriving at his new prison in Pennsylvania. He's also in the federal prison system now, which is interesting. If he had gotten attacked we would know, but I have no idea what he's up to these days.

He did get attacked once, when the prison guards mistakenly let another inmate in with him when he was taking a shower.

I think it might've been deliberate on the guards' part, but we'll never know for sure.

James Holmes is a hard case.

Whatever prisoners do in prison, only in his case it is for life.

James Holmes is watching the batman movies. Well probably not actually...but it would be pretty fitting if he did.

I don't see the point in getting mental help if you're spending the rest of your life rotting in an institution of some kind. Receiving help for your mental state is generally done to improve your life, but it's hardly much of a life when you're spending the rest of your days locked behind bars, trapped with other disturbed individuals, and doing essentially meaningless things all day. That's why I've never understood shooters who don't commit suicide after their rampage. What do you have to look forward to in the future that warrants you to want to continue on living? Unless you were just planning to see the aftermath of your killing, and then plan to commit suicide later in prison. But seriously, I just don't get it.

Well that one person who was involved in James Bulger's murder managed to straighten his life out (the other guy didn't though), so it's not impossible for someone to change, even a killer.

A guy attacked him when he was in Colorado prison, I think his cousin or something was in the theater on 7-20. Then he wrote the Denver Post about it and a bunch of people, survivors, family members of the victims, etc. sent him a bunch of Thank You cards and commisary money ha.

Considering how he got 12 life sentences with an additional 3,318, I doubt a release would even be negotiated when he's in his 80s

I've heard he's in a federal prison with mental healthcare and he's in a more general population setting. Is this true? I hope it is if I'm being honest.

His bed and general cell while at the Arapahoe County Jail looked genuinely comfortable, so being such a high-profile prisoner really had its perks.

Whatever he is doing now, his cell would be nowhere as luxurious as Anders Brieviks .
