Oh my god, I read "fire in storage room" and just immediately assumed that you were referring to the Jeffco archives. I was ready to rage.

Well they were trying to bring down the entire school, OR as much as possible. The bombs had failed, their attempts to detonate the bombs had also failed. So in my opinion they were just trying to cause damage in any way they could think of.
