I'm not definitively sure if this is the deadliest in Alaskan history but it beats Ramsey. This is a great idea for a list.

Also mentioned in that article is Curtis Young who killed 3 and then himself, so I supposed one could argue that was "deadlier".

Sorry to keep updating, but I did more research and can pretty definitely say the murder of the Coulthurst family is the deadliest mass shooting in Alaskan history. They never caught the guy either! Michael Silka also killed 8, but only killed seven before a short cooldown period so I'd consider him a spree killer and not count the final death in the "mass murder" category.

After reading more about Silka some reports put the victim count higher at nine, however it happened in multiple places over a whole day so it depends on your categorization of mass murder. Here's a link: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Not a state, but WASHINGTON DC has the 2013 navy yard Shooting.
