Sheriff's deputies rushed to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on Huffmeister just after 7 p.m. Thursday amid reports of a shooting.
We do not know whether a suspect is in custody or if deputies know who the shooter is.
A bystander told ABC13 Eyewitness News she heard three bursts, two happening in rapid succession and then one a short time later.
She said deputies arrived shortly after with sirens blaring.
Deputies pushed our news crew to the parking lot of a neighboring grocery store, where bystanders and worshippers alike have gathered." _________________ Owner of the official School Massacre Archives YouTube channel.

Arthur Edigin, 62, opened fire on a car with the woman and her adult daughter in a parking lot in front of the church campus at 11500 block of Huffmeister Road at 7 p.m., according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
The woman, 66, died while her daughter is in critical condition at a hospital, where police have posted several units out of precaution.
The suspect is believed to have fired five to six gunshots. He was last seen driving a white 2008 Suburban with a damaged front-right panel, police said.
The church addressed the shooting in a brief statement to Facebook.
"Two individuals were transported to local hospitals for treatment. All others are safe and accounted for at this time. Police are allowing those who were on campus at the time of the shooting to make their way to the cars to leave," the statement read.
The church was surrounded with police tape soon after the shooting, which prompted the Christ the Redeemer Catholic School on the campus to be placed on lock down.
"Those inside are safe. Police are on site. We'll update with details as we have them," the school tweeted.
Several people gathered in nearby parking lots waiting to be questioned by police.
A spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston said the church is cooperating with local authorities as they investigate the shooting.
The church, built in 1984, was hosting a choir rehearsal, bible study and another group meeting at the time of the shooting, according to its website."Definitely sounds like a domestic dispute, but at least it didn't result in a mass shooting inside the church. _________________ Owner of the official School Massacre Archives YouTube channel.

| Is it just me, or have we had alot of "false alarms" lately; shootings that at first seem like mass shootings, but turn out to just be a domestic dispute or a fight that went out of control? _________________ "If opportunities for role fulfilment fall far short of the demand by those capable of filling roles, and having expectations to do so, only violence and disruption of social organization can follow. I definitely think we have as of recent since people are way more paranoid/cognizant of mass shootings now due to the large amount we had in 2017/2018. It's actually been a while since the last one (Borderline Bar and Grille) though so I'm surprised that we haven't had any actual ones in addition to all these false alarms. |

| Had a feeling it wasn't an actual mass shooting attempt. | |
